Being gay is possibly one of the best humour traits i have.
There's so many decent funny witty opportunities for comments....
For example: When anybody says something like "Well you said blah blah blah" and i'll comment "You're putting words in my mouth and thats not what i want you to put in my mouth"
That one always gets a good laugh.
Or when some straight guy says "I don't look good in _____", i'd end up saying "You always look good no matter what" and give them a wink. That gets a few laughs too.
While I live in a relatively gay-friendly country, I intend to keep my sexual standing private for as long as possible. No one in my life needs to know it, to be honest.

I'm the kind of depressed person that got really good at humor early on in my life because it's an easy way to farm approval from people. And yeah, being gay is amazing comedy material.

Discrimination is decided by the states, because muh states rights or some dumb shit like that. Further, your employer also decides how you're covered. We are federal contractors, as our money comes from federal grants. We have some commercial orders, but I log my hours in a federal system that the government uses to track the hours spent on each project (so they know that we are vaguely doing what we should be). I'm also being paid through federal cost-share funds as part of my Space Grant work, along with getting a Space Grant grant (heh). So yeah, I think I do fall under the people who suffered due to this.
Its some real bullshit.

Yeah I am taking to another guy now but it feels harder to keep a conversation going with him, we will see I guess.
