Does anybody else just feel like it's hard to keep up with being social and having friends, let alone a relationship? I feel lonely a lot but yet I know that I can't handle a relationship for multiple reasons. All my attempts have just not worked out, or people have completely lost interest in me.

It is bloody hard.
Since i've been in a relationship, i've been neglecting my friends, we're not as close as we were before but obviously i don't want it to end.
I still keep in touch with them every now and then but unfortunately since i moved to a different city and we have different times off from work, it makes it difficult to organise anything.

I can imagine. I have very few friends in real life, but I just have a hard time getting with them. And I quickly tire or change my mind. It's this goddamn illness I swear.
Speaking of which, I'm getting tripled medication now because it hasn't helped me at all, and it costs a lot of money, and because I don't have a job, my divorced parents are forced to pay for it, and it makes me feel even more like a parasite that can't help.
Got about 5 hours of sleep. I've had this toothache for a few days now and it's been a drag. Makes it so hard to just have a good night's rest without waking up with screaming pain every 2 hours. That and the dark thoughts are really starting to hit hard. I need to see someone about this, somehow.

I feel internet friends are a perfectly valid supplement to irl friends (or vice versa) but are not a wholesale substitute for face-to-face interaction. And sometimes not having to physically interact is better, so balance in general seems wise

Not calling them real friends is a bit extreme. Like Doc said, they're supplements, but they can be as nice as any other person. They're still people, not computer screens.
