personally i was rooting for nl but im not going to get pissy over the fact that they lost like some people choose to. argentina and netherlands were relatively fairly paired and argentina did better in shoot outs

This is how I felt during the whole match even though people are saying it was boring. It was intense as fuck.

I was just thinking about that. I agree, Argentina would have won during regular time if it wasn't for that bad offside call.
So in a way, the win was deserved.
On the positive side of things, we'll be facing Brazil-still-sans-Neymar for third place.
Though the atmosphere in the bar is probably going to be glum as fuck.

This doesn't change the match though, if it was something actually influential then I'd understand but both teams lacked and went to penalties, the end.

brazil deserved that loss, just like argentina deserved that win. holland played like shit compared to their other games and made plenty of mistakes, while argentina played really, really well, especially with a (supposedly) sub-par defense against some of the best strikers in the world

You could see Robben throwing his arms up when the referee just ignored it. A minute later he got passed the ball and just stood there for a few seconds out of anger. You could see just how pissed off he was.
Ugh, if we wanted to win we should've decided the match earlier. No way we were going to get through a penalty series a second time.

I'm talking about complaints in the pitch, which are common, unlike with the media.
Oh well, whatever, no matter how shit the referee's decisions are, they are final. It was a good world cup for us, we had a good run and played a bunch of good matches. Sadly it didn't end with a good one, but that doesn't matter. It's been fun.
