I don't think you understand that players constantly use the "I didn't do anything" and "That was a foul" tactic to get the referee pressured to call in their favor which is completely different from voicing your ACTUAL OPINION to the media.
Oh well, whatever, no matter how shit the referee's decisions are, they are final. It was a good world cup for us, we had a good run and played a bunch of good matches. Sadly it didn't end with a good one, but that doesn't matter. It's been fun.
Don't be so hasty, there's still 3rd place to play for on saturday.

It's all about getting 1st place though.
Don't let being a sour loser belittle your judgement.

Do you have nothing else to say other than "lol ur opinions wrong u lost"?

I'm just glad we got this far. Getting third or fourth is a lot better than losing in the initial matches.
You lost.
You're wrong.
Even if you passed, history and consistency would've made Germany win against the Netherlands.
You got BLOW THE FUCK OUT you salty saltshaker.

Welcome to going on about a single point, which was my only gripe about this match. It's the only thing I had to complain about. Sure, both teams were rather mediocre, with a lot of missed opportunities on both sides, ending the round in somewhat boring penalties.
IMO it would've been a lot more fun if both teams could've showed their true potential. Messi and Robben could've done so much more. That's what I like to see in football. I'd rather lose 4-2 in a 90 minute match than lose it with every goal being scored in the penalties.
It's not losing that gets me, it's sitting there for 2 hours watching nothing happen.

argentina played well though, holland was the one that played badly. or did you not see romero's defenses? mascherano saving their asses when robben was in the box? holland's numerous missed passes?

Those passes were absolutely terrible, but we had a pretty good defence. Messi didn't get past that. Vlaar (IIRC) stole a bunch of balls from him.
also don't complain about the netherlands being limited or whatever. zabaleta got hit in the head pretty hard. mascherano was almost limping towards the end of the game, and i'm pretty sure biglia got hit really hard in one of the tackles
umm, guys, 15 faults for netherlands... guys? WE WIN, CHUPAMELA
This is the Obelisco right now:

Sadly me.
I would really have preferred to see a Germany vs Netherlands match. Both teams are really good.
I'm not against Argentina but I feel like Netherlands would be a more appropriate opponent for Germany.
LOL, this guy thinks argentina can get past netherlands.
Also, i lol'd.

germany vs netherlands and brazil vs argentina both would've been fantastic matches to watch, two sets of countries right next to each other
I don't like Argentina cause its all about messi. At least with Netherlands its not just about one player. I hate teams who depend on star players to do all the job.

Messi almost didn't do anything on Net-Arg, outstanding players where Perez, Mascherano, Lavezzi, Rojo and Higuain
Also Messi never made it's play on it's own on any match, without the other players he can't make his great plays, Messi is not about "the best in every aspect", it's the way he plays, he always moves the ball close to him in a quick way so he makes an overall good control on it, great dribbling, he's also known for being unstoppable, breaking defenses on it's own without falling or loosing the ball.
just watch this a litte: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6eaqQCQjSA
Germany v Argentina will be the ultimate game between a spread out team and a team that depends on a few masterful players.
I'm glad it's argentina tbh,
I know it would be awesome with a euro final but come on.. It's nice that south america is represented.
Plus there's always euro 2016 so it may be holland vs germany there anyway.
We did great, to be honest. No one expected this from the current team. Everyone considered this cup a victory if we managed to get out of the group stage, so semi finals means they overperformed to hell and back.
Ofcourse there's the sting of defeat, but in a couple of years people are going to remember the Netherlands as the team that blew Spain out of the cup with a 5-1 victory and a beautiful one-of-a-kind goal from van Persie, as well as van Geniaal, a brilliant playing Robben and Krul the penalty killer.
It was a good cup.

I'm sort of relieved we don't have to face THE BEAST.
Germany is going to win, simple as that.
Oh god the dutch newspaper Sp!ts made 2 different frontpages due to how late the match ended, 1 showing us winning and the other showing us losing. So half the Sp!ts papers today are wrong. :v:
My whole neighborhood went completely apeshit. It's fucking madness out there.
I guess this is how Germany was like yesterday, after beating Brazil.
Was lots of mate consumed :P ?

I feel like you're misusing the term BTFO here. The Dutch only lost on penalties, it wasn't like 4-0 or something.
So after the booze and the initial shock are gone:
Both Argentina and the Netherlands played beautifully during the first half. It was a perfectly balanced match were Argentinas defence handled the Dutch attacks beautifully, and the other way around.
After the 45 minute mark, Argentina started to look like the more tired of the two, and their focus shifted to defence instead of offense. The Dutch managed to pressure them into defending, but didn't win, because just like against Costa Rico failed to end an offensive action with a goal.
Wether this was due to the Argentine defence not allowing enough room for a Dutch attack, or because the Dutch offensive players missed their edge is irrelevant.
The extensions were literally an extension of the second half. Argentina pretty much having te keep defending against the Dutch attempts at penetration.
Penalties, in which the Dutch do not have a good record, were horrible from the start.
Van der Vlaar is a good lad, and a good defender as he has shown during the match, but it no man for taking penalties. He didn't take one in the last few years, so why I went first is beyond me van Gaal?
Everybody in the Netherlands was screaming for Krul, but van Gaal was out of substitutes.
Van der Vlaar missed, a huge downer and stresspoint for the penaltytakers behind him. And that's the end of it.
The Argentine keeper did very well during the penalties, and that's it. It was a deserved win for Argentine, as in that they took it by the rules, but I do honestly feel that the Netherlands had the upperhand and SHOULD and COULD have scored.
Vlaar went first because two other players didn't want to, apparently.
From what I understood van Gaal asked him if he wanted to take the first one.
Might've been because two refused yeah, but I can't really imagine Robben, van Persie, Sneijder and all of them saying no?
Shame we're out of the game, I'll be rooting for our German neighbors.
