The team isn't just Ronaldo, the team is just a part-time job for them. They tried but failed to play. We're an emotional roller coaster.
It's a cultural problem and we'll have to deal with it. Until then, this will be forgotten in a week, so there's no need for arguments about it.
Other teams move on with their life and so should we.
Wasn't that good what I saw today but we're through on first place. I don't like how we spread the game too often and make it really slow. Also we need to sub Özil out and put Klose in the starting formation, he's such a hard worker for the team at that age, nevermind if he needs to be subbed then later in the game.
Can't imagine what we will do against Russia, Capello teams are hard as fuck to play against because they're very disciplined.

We should hire Boye though :v:
That header from Kokorin was beautiful.
The goalkeeper didn't even expect it.
Red card for Belgium!
Wooo, nice job.
Really hope Algeria takes the cake today.
Needing to point a laser at the eyes of the goalkeeper to score.
Good fucking job Algeria.

The most obnoxious crowd on this WC thus far.

In the slomo the laser wasn't on him at a critical moment, so it doesn't really matter. They scored fair, despite the laser.
Actually, before the slomo, you can see the laser got directly into his eyes just before the kick happened, at which point he looked away and got distracted.
Which probably made him misjudge the kickers intention, and fuck up. Akinfeev has no reason to fumble a regular corner like that. He's a top notch GK.
Belgium goal!
Poirot would be proud!
What happens when the game ends with a tie?
What happens when the game ends with a tie?
In group stages, the game ends each team gets a point.
In the knockout rounds it goes to extra time, 30 minutes, 2 15 minute halves. If still tied it goes to penalties.

And if you're English, you pack away your flags and football strips and ready your call to 606 with you complaints about the side.
todays game with US VS GER almost made me cry lol
Some reporter snapped a pic of me at the viewing party in Detroit earlier today lol

so there'll be no penalty shootout.
there's 0% chance there won't be a shootout at some point. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Brazil Chile shootout this Saturday.

Can't put shootouts in this bracket, but a few of the ones I think might end in penalties are Brazil/Chile, Germany/France, Costa Rica/Greece, and Argentina/Netherlands. Maybe even USA/Belgium. I just put them as one goal victories instead.

my predictions

I'm willing to wager that it won't be Germany vs. Netherlands in the final...
I really think an underdog team will make it.
[editline]27th June 2014[/editline]
Considering Germany drew to Ghana and Netherlands only just beat Australia, I don't think the finals will be all that easy to predict.
Brazil isn't winning from Chile..
Do think the final will be Germany Netherlands.

This.
Favorites almost never make it to the final. Especially not the Netherlands. We have too much of a history of doing great in the group stage, and then falling apart in the knockouts.

I think that Brazil will win against Germany. Germany is really strong but Brazil plays like a demigod.
Chiellini has said that Suarez punishment is an exaggeration and Maradona said that FIFA are like the Mafia for doing something like this.
I can't even think of what to say.

Brazil suffer under pressure, Germany excel in the same circumstances. I can't see Brazil breaking down the German defense, it's way too physical for them.
I think germany is going to reach the finals. Don't know about the netherlands, i got the feeling that we wil fuck up somewhere. I hope i am wrong, germany vs the netherlands would be a great game.
Brazil Argentina in the final. Argentina is the only true powerhouse coming from that side, unless you can call Netherlands that.

Hardly. Argentina hasn't looked very strong in the group stage. They may have gotten 9 points, but none of the wins were anywhere as dominant as they should have been.
