Thanks to both teams for this insane 30 minutes. [editline]2nd July 2014[/editline] But you still got beaten by Belgium hihihi
motherfucking shit balls that was an intense game
Rough loss, but I think we can stand proud in that we did beyond anyone's expectations, even our own. To the future. It's going to be rough without Howard, but we know we have young stars rising in Green and Yedelin. Some certainly could have done better, but it was still a close and great team effort.
That was nuts!!!
good game, shame the US got knocked out.
Tim Howard played arguably one of the greatest games ever of a goalkeeper. It's a shame USA failed him.
Well, I didn't expect the Americans to put up such a fight until the end. Although they did squander huge chances for a draw near the end. Great match to watch anyway. This gotta be the tensest knockout round in a World Cup ever. So many matches decided in the extra time and in the last minutes of the game.
how the fuck did they play like that after 2 hours
Now this was a game that was more than enjoyable to watch gg
im glad to have watched this game, what an intense match, im definitely a fan of soccer now

Despite this loss, the United States has finally proven at this World Cup that it's ready for the adult table.

A compilation of all of Howard's saves tonight. http://coub.com/view/2bkhy

Proud of my country. Definitely could've played better but they never gave up at the end and Howard was such a beast. Lots of close chances, just couldn't quite finish. Great future ahead for our team, really excited to see how our young talent develops and how the sport grows in this country. Klinsmann may turn out to be one of the best things to happen for this team. Despite the USA being out, still incredibly excited for the rest of the world cup. Been so intense already, and there's bound to be some incredible matches next week.

It's undeniable that he is a excellent keeper.
Holy shit. I was watching the second half of the US - Belgium match after I finished my workout at the gym. Those last 10, 20 minutes were incredibly intense.
Agree that we exceeded expectations, however, Ive noticed through all these games that the players on the US team can't pass for shit, need more defense and offense and need to be more aware when they're playing altogether.

That's their problem. And they can barely maintain the ball, every time they do a long pass, it either goes to the opp team, they had to chase the ball or the ball sort of bounce off the players
For the first time in World Cup history, all eight teams that were group winners have advanced to the quarter finals.
4 European teams, 4 South-American teams I think this year's final might end up being a Europe vs South America fest
