They scored 6-0, and ended up winning the cup. Argentina was then ruled by a military junta and it's widely believed that Peru was bribed (or blackmailed) into losing. Not saying that's gonna happen here. I doubt anybody in this day and age is that desperate to try and do something like that, but you can make a stomp happen if you coerce people enough.
