Nah just do one a day, it's not a race to get loads of pictures... plus if you only take one it forces you to make it even better. I always find that when I look at a picture, I remember everything else about that day to scary amounts of detail. Start now. You need the boring times to make the good times even more awesome, plus it's supposed to be a record of what your life is... so boring days might have boring pictures. (Unless you go and find an interesting picture, which in turn makes your day interesting)
Facepunch needs more people like Scotchair.
This stuff makes me feel like I have the most depressing life ever.
Scotchair, your video inspired me greatly. It got me thinking, where will I be one year from now, and I realized, I'll be 6 days away from my 18th birthday, and a few weeks away from graduating high school, which is really exciting but kind of scary for me. So I decided, starting in June, I'm gonna start taking pictures of one thing every day that made that day unique or memorable.
I find it kind of ironic that he responds so well to positive comments and whenever someone has something negative to say about themselves, he quickly shoots them down that's a little unfair

depends on where the negativity is directed
I find it kind of ironic that he responds so well to positive comments and whenever someone has something negative to say about themselves, he quickly shoots them down that's a little unfair
Who said life was fair
I find it kind of ironic that he responds so well to positive comments and whenever someone has something negative to say about themselves, he quickly shoots them down that's a little unfair
I don't shoot them down at all, I shoot down their negativity. Being self pitying and pessimistic isn't going to get you anywhere.
tl;dr
That was amazing. Beautiful to watch.
I think the problem is that a lot of people dont know where to start. Its all fine and well if you at least have some friends, but a lot of people have little to no friends, no self esteem, are either very skinny or overweight, and spend 8+ hours a day on the computer. Its hard to know where to begin in that situation; How do you meet people and make new friends? How do you have a conversation with someone new when all you can really talk about it gaming and computers? I am kind of similar but my life has been looking up in the past few months, I met my current girlfriend after just taking a leap and saying hi, then we spent hours talking about random stuff like cats and past experiences, and it took off from there. I think first thing first for a lot of people is a change in look, its amazing how a new set of stylish clothes and a haircut can send your confidence through the roof. For meeting people, a hobby; Anything you want, there are bound to be night classes nearby somewhere...Hit two birds with one stone and take up a martial art that is quite intensive and will make you fit and strong as well as allowing you to meet new people. The most important thing is determination, if you are weak will and cant be bothered to do it then so be it, but all you have to do is MAKE yourself get off your ass and do something, you will be amazed at how your life will take a turn for the better....More friends, more/better experiences, more opportunities to live your life and be happy with it. I dont think anyone wants to look back on their life in 30 years time and see that they have had no friends, accomplished nothing, had no real adventures and instead have spent all day fapping and playing games on the computer, and realise that its too late to do any of that and they are in their last quarter of time left. I'm gonna start one of these little albums, I dont know how long it will last but I'll give it my best shot. And to start it, I'm going to get on my bike for the first time in 5-6 months and go out a few miles to find a nice picture to take. Will post the result.
I got really inspired by you OP so I decided to live my life to the fullest! Here is a gif I made from day 1.
This made me feel miserable for not doing fun stuff in my life, this might be inspiring to some. You really got the best out of a year in one movie.
This poster looks like a typical basement dweller who doesn't do anything with their life.
Everybody has an opinion - Only difference is whether you say it out loud or not. Be as butthurt as you want about it.. go as far as labeling it as trolling - Whatever works for you.
im 17 years old, and i guess you lived more in 1 year that me in 17 years
Amazing photography.
hey, you live in dundee too, that's cool, are you here for university? sorry if you've said, i just saw the first few pictures and recognised it instantly. you look like you're having a way better time here than me. [editline]23rd May 2011[/editline] also i see you went to d-con, it was... strange.
[editline]23rd May 2011[/editline] Haha indeed I am! I'm studying animation at DJCAD, I'm not really into the anime scene but D-Con is run by animators so I had to show face. I agree on it being strange. What do you do? also i see you went to d-con, it was... strange.

Ohh so you're the guy with the sweet-ass scratchplate on your Gibson. Where'd you get it again?
Wish I could find my camera, been taking treks out in the desert and I'm planning on taking my pea-shooter .22 to shoot at... stuff, I don't really know yet. It's really amazing after having lived here 16 years I didn't know that there was essentially a desert oasis only 4 or 5 miles away. Looks like the Scottish highlands even :shobon:
Well, that's your gap year, now back to boring old life. :(

I'm starting my Honours now. I was in uni pretty much every day from 9am until about 6-7pm during most of this.

Killed a bird and now I feel absolutely dreadful. Hey, it's a start right?
I want to live life to the fullest too! Of course I'm still a minor and can't really "live my life" until I'm 18. God I want to go to Europe sometime soon everyone seems like they're so happy go lucky. In the US I could travel around maybe go west and meet some crazy bible thumpers, or go north and meet some out there artsy types...maybe Seattle would be different?
You, Mr. Scotchair, are my new hero. I've always been social, but only with a few close friends. This thread is absolutely inspiritational and has given me a new goal in life: To always be happy. I will break the unspoken rule on the forums to never use emotes, because I can't express in any other way on this forum. Thanks for inspiring me; I salute to you good sir. :)
Beautiful. An amazing insight into your life, a true document of what really goes on, the good and the bad. Truly inspiring.
