yes

Max used to be a cop in a near future Australia where society was already crumbling. A gang of bikers kill his wife and daughter, driving him mad. He gets revenge on the gang by killing them one by one, he then ventures into the wastelands, leaving his life behind.
A while later society completely collapses, as war has broken out between countries and a nuclear exchange has occurred. Max roams the desolate wastelands of Australia with little else on his mind other than survival. However, he ends up getting roped into conflicts that he has little interest in participating in, but through his actions he becomes a legend in the eyes of those he's helped.

Juuuust fucking watch the movies jesus christ
Not to be an extreme sci fi nerd. But, i would like if in mad max they introduce a somewhat other world type of force, like some alien civilization or some scouting party of aliens. More like the scenario of Mothership Zeta in Fallout 3.
i fucking love the colors in this movie

This is the worst thing I've ever heard.
the first one is actually right after the apocalypse, it just doesn't look like it because a. budget and b. society is still semi-functioning considering resources aren't that low yet
There's still functioning government, there's no real overt crisis, and most of society is still functioning somewhat the same, but it is one on the way to collapse. I wouldn't say it was after the apocalypse though, but definitely before it.
Its more like its actively going through it. You see the breakdown of civilization first hand in the original Mad Max.

Actually this depresses me more than it angers me. I pity the person with such bad taste.

yeah, isn't it like, while places like the US and Russia or whatever get straight up nuked, Australia is kind of cut off from the rest of the first world due to the fact they've got tons of sea between them and everyone else (and no one thinks to fire nukes at them) so their apocalypse is more of a long drawn out one due to the lack of shipments of resources they need and the government eventually losing control of the general public
or something like that
Holy shit the [sp]callback to the music box from Road Warrior[/sp].

I love the little nods throughout the trailers. Like how the way Max is tied up is a nod to the Broken/Defiant Victims from Road Warrior, and the Tow truck (not the War Rig) used in the movie is the same model series as the Semi used in the chase sequence. I also like how Miller is staying with oldschool vehicles in general and nothing too modern. I think the only car that comes close is that 80's S-class Benz that's mounted on that truck frame in a few shots.
I wince every time I see the Interceptor roll. I HATE seeing that car get mauled.
