It's alway nice to have, or be the back of a gang of friend at school.

I don't have friends, just "acquaintances"

Most of my friends are short and fat, or short and skinny as fuck. They likely can't and won't fight. But I'm pretty tall and I have a black belt in karate so any one about my age isn't at an advantage.

So I'm in 7th grade and earlier this year I got into a fight after school. Btw I live in Las Vegas. So earlier at the beginning of the year I was walking home with my typical Asian group Ben, Nick, Jett, Michael, Ariel, and Vincent. After a few of my friends left some typical buster black kid starts tripping me and saying, "Hahhha Neega" So I get pissed off and say,"Obviously you are a dumbass if you think I'm a nigger, look at you" and he starts tripping me some more. From there on it's only me Ben and Nick. The kid starts calling me some more black racial slurs,"nigger, nigga, bitch nigger, hoe nigger, skank nigger, etc. etc." I proceed to call him a nigger again then he calls upon his 6th grade "nigger crew" as they like to be called. So they start pushing me and I punch the black kid in the jaw then he puts me in a headlock, proceeding to punch the top of my head. Being not very effective as his punches sucked. Then my friends ben and Nick just watch us rumble then after 10 seconds some black lady gets out of her car and starts getting butthurt thinking I started the fight because "blacks are always there for eachother or against eachother" so I suffered from bruises on my head, scratches on my arm but his mouth was bleeding. Also no friends helped me and the "Nigger crew, posse, etc." Just backed the fuck off. I'd fight for/defend anybody I know, including friends of friends, relatives of friends, etc.

After the summer in 2009 when school had just started, I was walking out of class, I was the last one out and this kid who annoys the crap out of everyone but nobody could fight him cause his brother is some big football player. I did not know anything about his brother or family and this kid walked up to me and started swearing to me. So I got very angry but went to class and told my friend that I really wanted to beat the crap out of him (This was like my 3rd fight ever and I don't practise any fighting). So after the class I walked out really angry and told few of my friends about this and they liked the idea of me kicking his ass cause they hate him too. I walked around searching for him but I couldn't find him so I asked his class mate where he was, he told me he was outside playing basketball, I walked outside and saw him, I ran at him very angry punched him in the face a few times, he couldn't hit me in the face cause I blocked it. Punching that guy in the face so many times was the best decision ever. If someone is ever picking on you and you get angry you should really just show him that you don't want to be pushed around or picked on. Go ahead punch them in the face. Although if you don't want to get detention you shouldn't punch them in the face.

One time on the way home from school, a buch of guys got off at my stop and pushed around a guy I know. I've got good friends who back me up in other shit, but I don't know what they'd be like in a fight, I'd trust maybe two of them to have my back in a fight, and I don't even know which of my friends are those two.

I met my best friends here on Facepunch, considering most of my real life friends all moved away, joined the military, or died. Got three best friends on here and would definitely have their backs in a fight, as small as I am. We bicker sometimes, but that comes with the territory. I'm usually open to grabbing friends from anywhere I can because I'm a fairly friendly person as long as you're not an idiot or insult my current friends. Gets me pretty aggravated when anyone talks about my friends in a bad way. But anyhoo, usually the key to being my friend is just to say hi and talk to me. I don't have a specific criteria or anything.

i know exactly how you feel OP, I have an absoulute wonder of a best mate. about a month ago some guy brought around twenty of his friends to where me and my friendship group hang out, all because the dumbass is utterly convinced we are all emos, for a start this makes him look abosolutely retarded considering its only me and afforementioned friend who even dress remotely alt, and the rest of the group is just totaly uncarring of how people dress so long as they are friendly. After all hell broke loose and im now being followed to class by twenty violent knuckledraggers, the leader of their party finaly desides ten of his friends is just about enough to take on one skinny six former. i didnt even get a punch in, was an abosolute whipeout, ten guys just knocked me off my feet from behind and began kicking and punching. and just as i think im done for, the ugly prick who was holding me down suddenly gets a very bloody nose, and is sent sprawling the right. My best friend Andy had seen me go down, and all by himself had strode into a group of ten people to pull me out, when im on my feet again i see my (now ex) Girlfriend Harriet running to my aid also, i have never seen anything that provoked more pride in my life than my Gentle Giant best friend and my beloved harriet standing between me and a crowd of thugs, and totaly kicking ass! (was especialy awesome to see the pained look on one guys face as he was knocked square on his ass by a girl.)

I really only consider one of my friends to be my true best friend, he was the only one that helped me out, even though there were about 3 other friends with us close by, when I was in a "fight" (Guy started wailing on me because I said something, I'm no fighter and got concussed pretty quickly) ever since then I've felt a debt to him and whenever we walk back from my mates house we talk for hours (Its about an hour walk home there, then we just talk outside my house for a bit since hes around the corner). The best thing I like about our friendship is that we ask whatever is on our mind, I constantly ask him all about his religion because I find it really interesting and he asks me about my views on the world, and what not, its just a great feeling to know you have a friend that is always there for you.

People around here hardly ever get into fights. We have different music tastes, different hobbies, different classes, different dreams, different pasts, different philosophies, etc. Yet we're super chill with eachother.

I have alot of friends, but there are 3 friends i would trust my life with. They have been helping me in many kinds of situations.
