That's first person view, by the way, if anyone is confused.
Make sure the vent is strong, to make sure you won't fall trough it any second, after which slowly go trough it.

The lights on the room are switched off. Maybe there is a switch nearby.

Maybe, but right now, it's only use is to show the vent was really fucking long.
Listen for any unusual sounds - if there aren't any, search for switch to turn lights on.
Look for a switch

Search for doorswitch,If none, check if helmet has the flashlight like the old one.
Check if the goo is flammable.

The room is dark, some of the lights are not working, creating some kind of black spot where the creature or whoever tried to hit Aris is hiding. It looks like it is scared, and it's bleeding, should Aris kill it or try to talk to it?
