Aris can't really understand what the grid in the screen is really about, but looking at the red squares, it looks like the rooms that are flooded with water, so it might be a map, he doesn't know what the yellow, green or gray crosses are about though, and don't know what the red crosses are either, maybe zones that got damaged but not flooded.
