Flipnote Hatena is stupid, especially since a lot of the popular flipnotes are "GIVE ME STARS" shit. I was excited when I first saw it but then I also saw how you can give your own flipnotes stars and there's no limit on how many stars you can give.

i used this when i could find my DSi, and 90% of it is stars/weaboo, but sometimes you will find awesome stuff in there...

Hatena is shite not because of its user or flipnotes, but because of its absolutely DIABOLICAL layout. The setup is nothing short of nauseating. Worst of all, to make someone's flipnote (but most of the time MY OWN due the the terrible system) famous, you have to repeatedly crack the screen with your plastic stick to add 'stars'. This sort of thing attracts meme-loving 11 year olds because it is just babyish and annoying. If they had set it up like YouTube, with 'views' and not stars, then it would actually be pretty good. I made animations for fun, but don't upload them because there is no point. It is no longer appealing to me anyway as the DSi isn't a good platform for animating, personally and found the friction-less touch screen made my drawing look just as skillful as that of a 3 year old.

Granted however, some flipnotes are amazing and deserve REAL fame and not stars. For the DSi, this software is very good, but Hatena didn't do justice to it.

I have a DSi, and I left it a long time ago. I just make flipnotes for fun, I never bother to look around at the Hatena ones.
Yes there is a lot of "give me stars and ill unlock but i really wont" and remade memes over and over again.
Somewhere in there, you can find a really original flipnote.

Yeah, once I saw this flipnote which had a huge amount of stars so I watched it and found it was complete shit. i then saw who gave the stars and saw he had given himself over 3/4 of all of the stars.

That's why I abandoned DSi for PC gaming last year. I still play Plants vs Zombies on it though, since it's PvZ and it's still fun.

And I HATE flipnotes that are like "I LIKE EXAMPLE, IF YOU LIKE EXAMPLE TOO GIVE ME STARS!"
