I really need to visit Minneapolis someday. For most of my life I've been living in Alexandria and Bemidji. Nothing really impressive around those towns. I was quite amazed when I first went to Duluth. I didn't think Minnesota could have such stunning scenery.

Our football team kicked some Totino-Grace ass last year :v:

Yeah, TG went to shit not too long after I left. They won state 3 times out of the years I was there.
How much Road construction do you have around you?
Here in the burbs (Eagan, Burnsville, Bloomington, Apple Valley, Rosemount*) we have so much going on. Hwy 13 is being resurfaced and are getting a bridge built; Cedar is getting widened?; Got a noise wall being put in along 35E; and, a city-wide (almost) upgrade of sewers.
Traffic. Nightmare.
*I'll count it because of its location, not of its size
TG beat our team for state in 2010-11, I believe.
But yeah, MN. P chill place if you like trees and snow and whatnot.
Come if you like fishing, and hunting.
So how many of you guys know of the town of Stillwater
:v:
I'm not a Minnesota person, but I cam here because it said Midwesterners welcome. Indiana reporting in.

I used to live there with my father. Either that or Saint Cloud.

Used to go through there every time I went to splat tag, would stop by some of the shops down town every now and then.

Good day Indiana!

My dad lives there.
Also I'm SO pumped for the State Fair this year. Last time I went was 2 years ago for a marching band competition.

Stillwater is nice, in my opinion. Shit load of military personnel around there though. Saw a bunch of National Guardsmen, Marines, and Air Force members. Why would they pick Stillwater?

Hell if I know, I don't think there's a reserve unit there
Indirectly best day of my life when I saw a Marine-Air Force rap battle.

Don't ignore our underground hip-hop scene. We have awesome rappers.
I'm not very familiar with Hip-Hop in general.
Brother Ali is awesome though.

They're adding a BUS LANE going both ways in a city with next to no bus traffic.

Well, you know, they did build that new transit station.. that of which almost no one uses
Nobody uses it because they can't, the construction has been in the way for about a year :v:

Speaking of that construction.. Who ever thought changing the speed limit from 65 to 35 is a fucking retard. Thats a 30 MPH difference at a sign
If anyone else here is from Becker County then I will eat my hat.
Don't forget Stillwater and our shitty lift bridge that we had to cram up the Sierra Club/Congress' ass in order to get a new one.
Has that bridge been replaced yet? I remember driving by it years ago and thinking it had to be some sort of historical landmark or something because it looked so old.

Do any of you do this? I have been thinking about doing it for years.
I've lived in saint paul for most of my life. Currently in the highland area (of saintpaul) nowadays. Just went to the district del sol's cinco de mayo celebration this weekend. it's a family tradition to go every year, as a fair portion of my family does mexican dance.
I also live close enough to the MOA that I go there at least once a week. Rarely ever buy anything though.

I live 10 minutes from it, via 35. Its right in my backyard and yet, I have only been there... three times in 18 years. Not really my thing, too touristy
My roommate's Minnesotan and she came here to Chicago for school. She has the most delightful accent AND she likes lutefisk. Every time she talks I get so happy
i'm from wisconsin
close enough
