I've heard Hibbing is a pretty shitty/ghetto town. Is this true?
The big thing there is the Law Enforcement Academy. haha
How's the weather in Minneapolis? Pretty much my whole family comes from Minnesota but we've all spread out over the years and generations. Heading up Monday for my grandpas funeral.
This next week? it's gonna be hot and humid or stormy as far as i know so dress light
Hot, wet, and humid aka - Wear next to nothing.
.
Living in Faribault, MN here, didn't know this thread existed. Our town is known for our stench of dead turkey.

Anybody been to MOA lately? How goes the phase 2? Have they began hardcore tearing that nasty parking lot up?
I hope so, MOA is gonna be bitchin when they're done. Anyone in this thread live up around the NW metro (Anoka up to Elk River/Zimmerman)?
http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1192714 (thanks to Zambies! ) Can everyone just get off Duluth's cock for three-weeks while we ( Minnesota ) try and fix the problems. Did you guys see the premier of Haunted Highway on Syfy tonight? Half the episode was about hunting the Vergas Hairy Man here in Vergas, MN.
No but i did go see Ted at the AMC theater in inver grove with two of my friends since one of them had a $40 gift card that'll never get used since we all live in apple valley (carmike theater sucks dick too, amc is WAY nicer)
Man, there was a really bad storm on monday. Trees ripped up everywhere from straight line winds. My house is still without internet.
I see Midwesterners welcomed, but then I noticed this is a Minnesota thread, why is there no Illinois thread? The coolest mod lives in Illinois, daijitsu.
I want an illinois thread

For some reason there seems to be a huge population explosion of frogs this year near Anoka, walk outside and there where hundreds of them. Maybe I just don't get out enough.
I'm so glad they finally began tearing down this ugly 1950s eyesore that's been plagueing my highway for the past decade, so they can build a brand new strip mall, an apartment complex, a pharmacy, and a mcdonalds. [t]http://i.imgur.com/iYGp9.jpg[/t]
Did you guys hear about whats going on in the Iron range.. apparently the people up there actually dont own the land they live on and that mining companies are free to dig wherever they want. And, What the fuck, FEMA - why shouldn't the victims of the northern floods be eligible for federal funding but replacing roads gets it immediately
I go there almost every year. My relatives are a bunch of swede fuckers who surrounded the midwestern/northern regions of America (Minnesota, Montana, North/South Dakota, Washington, Oregon). So i'm forced to go to the midwest region often. Minnesota is alright, kinda flat though. I prefer western Montana :P
Dakota County fair starts next week. Y'all better try to make it down here.
Hey, if you guys want to come to a show put on by yours truly and featuring yours truly (and you live near saint paul): http://www.facebook.com/events/338266532924772/ it's free!
I just moved from the Ericsson neighborhood in South Minneapolis to the Tangletown neighborhood in south west Minneapolis. It's super nice, but that's mostly because it's a super rich area. Lots of giant houses, and yuppies and shit. Roads suddenly turn all tangly, like the name. Anyone here applied for food stamps before? BROKE AS FUCK OVER HERE
