but look at the way the world is turning out? all these tensions could lead to some kind of sci-fi event like what happened in Chernobyl instead it could happen to an entire race or continent by some war. take Fallout for example. when everything is destroyed people go back to their roots
thats why religion will always be around even if the human race dies. who knows, maybe dogs believe in a magical TV god that shows Puree commercials as a sign of enlightenment

There were also philosophers which understood incredible amounts of science for the time they lived in. In about 300BC Aristotle was able to determine the world is not flat and is indeed spherical. They used gods to represent real world occurrences, which makes sense. But, to simply rationalise something as "an act of God" is complete and total bullshit.

Well I don't really give a fuck about what religion is dominating an underdeveloped country.
The Christians are only going after underdeveloped countries because they're without a working education system, and they have nothing. So obviously they're easy pickings.
If Atheism grows in developed countries, then the underdeveloped countries will follow suit over time.
Assuming civilization doesn't die out, religion will start to be viewed as more of a primitive coping mechanism in 100-200 years. Sad I may not be alive when such a time comes to be.
This has no purpose other than symbolism.
Now if they started converting churches into strip clubs like I had suggested we would be getting somewhere.
