The environment will persist through almost anything, however if it should lead to an unfortunate set of changes we may have to do a bit of adapting.

You have to admit it is pretty ironic that as far as vehicles are concerned what we today consider "alternative fuels" were the original power sources, and oil ended up taking over due to short-sightedness and at the time being more cost efficient.
And as for the violence that has become so common place, that's not going anywhere any time soon.

I stopped caring about the world's problems when I realized how much of a hindrance caring for them is. You can't progress if you take fourteen steps backwards for every step forward. Its survival. You live or you die. If you can't adapt and function in society, just die. Progress makes overall life better, so stopping progress just to [B]try[/B] to fix an insignificant problem that [B]will[/B] be resolved if you just continue to progress is idiotic. Africa is a hell-hole because the people there can't accept anything else. So bitching about something and trying to fix something you can't affect is just plain stupid. Same thing with pretty much every other problem. You're trying to influence something you can't control. Its just natural. Look up Cnut the Great and his incident with the tides.[sp]Just to sum it up, he sat his throne on the beach one day and commanded the tide not to come in. Needless to say, it did.[/sp]It is a great example of how, just because you have power or a fancy title or something seems wrong doesn't mean it can be stopped or fixed. Its just fucking nature. Stop being idiots. Progress is natural. It is evolution. Halting that progress is unnatural and ultimately destructive. We haven't come close to a golden age, but its the best damn time thus far. We won't hit a golden age until we hit the technological singularity. If you think anyone of Earth can fix these problem by interfering with it, you need to stop thinking all together. There is no one who can fix any problem with the world by trying to interfere with it. It'll just happen on its own if nature is allowed to progress.
The last good generation ended after the 1940s, its a shame civil rights movement happened in a lesser generation.

Well in 2010 compressed air vehicles were supposed to come to the U.S., however after the deal with the economy something tells me that's not quite accurate anymore.

It only seems as if every african family has like 7 kids. They usually have none or just a few, but almost every adult gets killed or dies from AIDS and the likes, so the kids have to live with their neighbours.

Free thinking is devoid of your Religion, it has nothing to do with it. People confuse free thinking with persuit of their appetites.
On the subject of starvation in Africa, that can't be solved by throwing money and food at them. You still have to deal with their government.

We've already tried to help them (Somalia) and look where that took us.
Also, their very culture is working against them, they don't like going to medical personnel because they wear white, which is viewed as a symbol of witchcraft in Africa.
