idk what you guys are saying, if you do some sort of 30 min. workout (run anywhere from 3 to 5 miles) monday-wednesday-friday that isn't terrible you'll lose as long as you don't go and eat 2 bags of doritos after or something.

i'm p sure you don't need a really strict as fuck diet to lose/gain unless you have specific target. sure you could count calories here and there but judging how much you should eat of something off the top of your head works too.

Get into mountain biking. It's my personal favorite physically intensive activity. You have to work really hard, but you get rewarded when it comes time to bomb down the hill.

Uh, no, it doesn't work that way.
Unless your metabolism is high (which is common for teens, but unfortunately not true for me) you cannot eat 2 bags of Doritos on 90 minutes a week. Not combined with normal meals, and especially not if you eat other junk food snacks too.
I'm currently trying to loose weight, and no, it isn't easy. There is a lot of regulation with diets and if you want to loose a decent amount of weight in a short amount of time, you have to regulate and manage your diet quite a lot.
Even in a long amount of time (about a year or so) you can only indulge in junk food maybe 3 to 4 times a month if you do 90 minutes a week. Even that is pushing it.
And no, it is not easy to refrain from eating these things. Some people are better at it than others, but at this younger age you tend to burn far more calories than when you're older.
