The fuck are you talking about. Ferrets are like cats. They use litter boxes. Very easy to train them to use one and usually when you adopt/buy them they're already litter trained.
cats shit every where too
cats shit every where too
I think you may be missing the very crucial part of owning an animal "Training it to not shit everywhere like almost every pet owner ever"
I'm sorry how the fuck would he preform an autopsy on an EMU, it's not like when he opens her up and then says, "OH obviously her left ventricle in her dino lung collapsed and that's why she died." She was a newborn and alot of times animals don't make it
This is real late but.
I know Emu's can get pretty large, do you have enough space to keep it when it gets larger than your arm?
Well I got some bad news. Gertie didn't make it, she died this morning. I woke up at 5 AM to find her laying in the corner and all I could do was hold her till she died 5 minutes later. She had all the odds stacked against her and just couldn't pull through in time.
welp there goes any interest I had left in this thread
welp there goes any interest I had left in this thread
Bye.
Hi my name's Gerry and I like to make lots of noise at night by throwing a tantrum and jumping against the sides of my cage. So much noise in fact, I woke up the Tegu. The Tegu was hibernating. [editline]18th March 2012[/editline] Oh yeah, he's mad that I put that cardboard up now...

Cute little creatures
d'aaaawwww 2012

Oooo,who's that cute fella?
that's horrifying
If they're unfertilised, hardly, afterall, people cook and eat unfertilised chicken eggs, whats the difference really, I mean sure, if the babies had developed into anything beyond nuclei, then yeah it could be a bit horrible.
Oooo,who's that cute fella?
That's a Tegu http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_tegu Always wanted a pet lizard of some sort :(
ok so 2 things. 1.) can you please tell us more stories about fun stuff that the little guy does, just chilling around or what not please! my heart is melting at all this! 2.) YOU have by far the coolest house ever, the way i see it is its like animals just chilling around and your stepping over them and shit, and suddenly this huge dinosaur of a lizard comes out and starts being awesome just like everything else! PLEASE more stories about things your animals have done in the past, im in love i think ! :D EDIT: sorry i don't think you noticed, BUT THERE IS A EMU IN YOUR HOUSE!! more posts like the previous one with pictures, just reading that made me want to sit in your house for a day (in a non psychotic kind of way) and observe the animals just chilling around.
That Emu is like "check it out i have a huge puffy body and a small head and feet." D'aw
What do Gerry and The Tegu think of each other? Is your tegu a carnivorous one or mainly herbivore?
So last night didn't go too well, Gerry thought putting up the cardboard was lots of fun, following me around and pecking at it. Then I tried to go to sleep and all hell broke loose and while he couldn't stick his head out through the bars and jump against them anymore he still has a loud voice that only got louder which sounds EXACTLY like someone whistling (It's no coincidence that I whistle to him, this is what adult Emus normally do). So it was 1 AM by the time I finished putting the cardboard up and by 3 AM I'd had enough of the whistling and beak scraping on the cardboard so I just let him out to sleep with me so I could get some sleep myself and that was the end of that. Course when he decided to wake up at 6 AM he went back in the cage. It's finally warm enough out that he can go outside today too so we'll see how that goes.
What do Gerry and The Tegu think of each other? Is your tegu a carnivorous one or mainly herbivore?
Gerry likes to watch her roam around (Or now that I have the cardboard up, liked to) but she either doesn't care that he's there or is oblivious to him, either way they won't be hanging out because she's very territorial. She's actually an omnivore, I feed her ground beef, ground turkey a fruit (usually Kiwi as it's her favorite, But blueberries and Blackberries are also on the menu) and then a raw chicken egg cracked on top to help with her digestion. Sometimes I'll give her a whole uncracked chicken egg as a treat, Tegus are very very smart and her preferred method of cracking an egg is to pick it up in her mouth and then punt it at the wall till it cracks then she pokes a hole in it with her nose and uses the egg as a bowl and licks it out so it doesn't leak out all over the place and go to waste. I didn't teach her this, she figured it out on her own through trial and error.
I wish I had exotic pets like you do and land to keep them on.
You have the coolest pets, man.
