(most people wouldn't care but it would look silly to me)
What you need to understand is the Warsaw weapons are completely different from NATO weapons. You can mount an ACOG on an AK, sure, but you'll find it's not right especially the eye relief on an AK with the different stock and the elevation of your sight and what not.
I find using Warsaw attachments on Warsaw weapons are a lot more practical and fitting.
Okay, customizing idea: Is it TOO tacticool to put a rail above my upper receiver on my AK? If so, I might just put my eotech on it or leave it there for kicks.
I do it but like Codemonkey said, a lot of scopes don't work well with AKs.
Hm. I think I'll just have the rail there, just to have one. I probably won't end up putting my eotech on it, but eh, just in case.

Red dots work alright, some better than others. I hear that EOTechs work great.
How to pimp any gun: Beat the shit out of it with random tools, drag it behind your vehicle, etc.
Don't take this the wrong way but did you buy this gun from Wal-Mart, Kmart, Big 5, Dicks or Gander Mountain?
Ebay, even better right?
It was my first springer. I use it as a loaner now, thus the "Cannon Fodder" insignia.
We can't really give you tips other than that. Be creative with it.
I meant techniques and stuff, but fair enough. Practice makes perfect and all that.

Remove anything made by Leapers, UTG, Beeman, NCStar or any other shit brand from your gun. Then apply base coat of Khaki, dust at your leisure with CB/DE, maybe spot a little OD in there. Next either bury it for 24 hours, dig it up and run 20 miles with it slung across your back (stop at halfway point to rotate gun over for even cooking), or put some acetone (fingernail polish remover has acetone in it I think) into a rag and stroke your gun vigorously until paint is worn as desired. Gun is now pimped. Rinse and repeat as deemed necessary.

I can't vouch for it personally, but this method sounds good.

Whoa, hold the fuck up, Leapers make good red dots.

Lower profile red dots such as the Aimpoint T1 without the riser work well on AKs. Scopes such as ACOGs, yeah you're sort of out of luck unless you build a raised cheek rest.

Yeah they do, but they're ass-ugly compared to high-end optics (AimPoint, Elcan, EOTech, Trijicon, Leupold, etc.). Personally I just don't care for optics that aren't really used, if you're going for aesthetics then get a sight for looks not for function. Besides, in airsoft they don't do much good anyway, you're best off spraying and adjusting, I didn't even use my iron sights when I played.
I always use my sights. :colbert:

Lucky you, I just never got the feel for it :( . Wind, hopup, and just range in general always made it feel futile trying to aim, so I would just spray in their general direction. And at close range it was near enough that I could aim where I wanted without the sights, so I never did.
I usually try to sight in properly but when I go to shoot around the side of cover I usually just hold my rifle further back and use the front sight to aim so I don't have to expose myself as much.

Well, wind never mattered for me because I play primarily indoors (Tac City). Range was never an issue too, and I usually ended up sitting in place watching for movement within 30ft. Gonna have to adjust to longer ranges come summer though.
I try and use my iron sights when I can.
I just ditched my red dot/green dot. I'm using pure iron sights for my next game.
I use red dots for CQB, helps a lot considering it's semi auto only and the lighting makes it hard to see your bbs. Plus you don't have to waste nearly as many rounds if you know your sight is sighted in.

What about those ACOG's with the mini red dot sight on top? I imagine that could double for CQB.
For now, I use Iron Sights, but then i'm going to move onto an ACOG.
I use iron sights but I'd love to get a Kobra or a PK-A once I get an AK.
Yeah I'm hoping to get a Kobra soon (I know I've been saying that for months, but I'm poor).

I have that. Problem is the red dot sits higher up than where you would normally sight your rifle. What happens is when you whip you weapon up for a quick shot, you tend to over shoot the red dot and end up looking through the ACOG, wasting time to find and adjust to the red dot.
I mean it works, but I like keeping mine separate.

This is me. My optics are for the Tacticool Geardo factor.

I'm seeing a pretty decent divide between people who use optics (CQB) and people who don't (Field)
Hey I use ACOG's and larger scopes for field use too. It's nice to have something you can spot with, especially when you cant identify if that's a friend or foe in that window of a building 2 blocks down.
If by "doesnt look too bad" you mean "is BITCHING AS HELL" then yes.
red dots erryday
my gun doesn't shoot far enough up to the point where I use a scope and I don't use the ironsights because they're so fucking small and I have to strenuously press my face up against the damn gun
Venom, throw a kobra on there :buddy:
