Not really, all those pockets add to bulk and totally ruin the way the clothes look. Plus, you just don't need all of those pockets.
You clearly never had to fit a smart phone, a wallet, your keyes, and one of those things that holds your driver's license, ID, student ID, papers verifying your accomodation and health insurance papers into the pockets of a bloody pair of jeans. Presumably because people don't need so many goddamn papers in Canada.
no, there's actual reasoning behind fashion, it's not just taste for example, the undercut/hitler youth haircut has been a thing for a while because the short on sides + long on top look makes your face looks slimmer. certain glasses frames work better with certain faces because they create more definition. some color or pattern combinations are more pleasing to the eye, etc
Sure there's trends and aspects that are more aesthetically pleasing, but again, THOSE are subjective. Those CHANGE. You can't say 'This is objectively best' because things change, we change, and we make different decisions over time as a culture. Some things like patterns or colour matching aren't as subjective, but they're not hardline ever living rules. They're just trends.

I can count on two hands how many guys I see per day who don't have that haircut, or some variation upon it.
I differ on my opinion of those looks to zerosix, i consider them pretty good they fit well, they're clean, I don't see a huge problem with them
The first one just looks bad, the other 3 are something sloppy you'd wear around the house or if you go out to the shop or something... As long as you're fine with how you look it doesnt even matter, I used to dress like a fucking monkey and now I pay attention to how I look and people prob make fun of me for spending like £95 for a shirt but its cool its how I wanna dress, like if you wanan spend £5 on a shirt someone might talk shit but it doesnt matter in the end
I'm not even defending any style or fashion or anything. I'm just laughing/sick of the attitudes of the high and mighty that some of you are espousing without the self awareness to realize what that even looks like or means. Good for you europeans who have a "Objectively" better fashion sense than us poor north american fags, I honestly just don't see how this will affect my life as a business person wearing a suit, or as a street walking wearing jeans and my leather jacket. I'm just not capable of passing the same level of judgement as you guys are I guess and I can't help but feel that it's not a bad thing I can't do that as easily as you.

"Oh what a pleb, wearing those clothes! Hah!"
Smart phone and wallet in one pocket, keys and papers in the other. I'd say you could utilize the back pockets too but that depends on the crime in your area.
What kind of wallet do you have? Mine barely fits into a jeans pocket on its own. Then again, it IS a proper leather-esque wallet.
You clearly never had to fit a smart phone, a wallet, your keyes, and one of those things that holds your driver's license, ID, student ID, papers verifying your accomodation and health insurance papers into the pockets of a bloody pair of jeans.
they look and obviously that leads into their personality and whatnot. first impressions are important
So you would judge books by their covers and never care what's beneath? you're my very definition of a superficial person, and not someone I would want to be around if that's how little depth you have.
What kind of wallet do you have? Mine barely fits into a jeans pocket on its own.
So if you work a labour job, should you be wearing super fashion forward shit to work to avoid the scorn of people like yourself? "Oh what a pleb, wearing those clothes! I work hard as a motherfucker and spend my money on nice clothes, I look good when I go out, I make fun of people who say they dont care about fashion and then literally wear the same outfit every day because its dity and says a lot about you. How is people making fun of people who dont care about fashion any different than people who make fun of people who do care? Why you gotta lump me in an elitist group saying shit like "people like you"
I really can't properly express just how out of touch with reality a lot of the people in here are.

Like why do you jump to say "same dirty outfit every day"? Oh is that an assumption about me? Or is that an assumption about everyone on FP? Fashion is opinions. I'm not making fun of anyone who cares about fashion. I'm laughing at the shitty, elitist attitude that you are espousing RIGHT here while not having the self awareness to see what you're doing. That's what I'm laughing at. [editline]25th October 2015[/editline]
I really can't properly express just how out of touch with reality a lot of the people in here are.
No fucking kidding.
no, there's actual reasoning behind fashion, it's not just taste for example, the undercut/hitler youth haircut has been a thing for a while because the short on sides + long on top look makes your face looks slimmer. certain glasses frames work better with certain faces because they create more definition. some color or pattern combinations are more pleasing to the eye, etc
Those things you listed are entirely subjective. Glasses frames you think look better on someone might look worse to them or someone else. Color combinations you think look pleasing might look bad to another person. Sure, a majority of people might agree on certain things, but that doesn't mean the ones who don't are wrong and need to be criticized.
none of this looks even remotely good. especially not over here in europe.
How so?
So if you work a labour job, should you be wearing super fashion forward shit to work to avoid the scorn of people like yourself? "Oh what a pleb, wearing those clothes! Hah!"
why are you taking any kind of fashion critque so personally? the guy literally just said that fashion doesn't matter and you should dress how you want, it's like you're making an effort to be offended by anything even vaguely related to clothes. i feel like there's some stereotype of fashionable people i'm not aware of, or perhaps just some very bizarrely specific language, that's making everyone take everything as a personal insult. like guys, just take a step back. it's clothes. i don't think graphic t-shirts look good. you don't have to do anything because of that. i mean this is a fuckin' public forum for god's sake, people can and will speak their minds about anything, up to and including what you wear. if other people's opinions on clothes are so inimical to you then maybe you shouldn't be talking about them.

None of the fashion critique or advice applies to me, but the concept of being so critical over not cleanliness, but fashion choices, is just supremely ridiculous. If you're going to be shallow and pass judgements on people, why shouldn't I be allowed to say something? Should I not voice that on a forum? Should they be able to say their peace but not me mine?

This argument is going nowhere and is going to continue to go in circles.
This argument is going nowhere and is going to continue to go in circles.
Welcome to the internet, here's your argument.
they fit well, they're clean, I don't see a huge problem with them
you just basically admit that they're the bare minimum of what's acceptable
What do you guys think about sweater vests?
cargo shorts
I don't wear cargo shorts though?
Also, It helps to not have skinny jeans.
My foot doesn't even fit through skinny jeans :v:

The second guy is good example of that. Usually sweatervests sorta make you look dadcore tho. Like the first pic.
[t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CQaKxWZXAAEuQb-.jpg[/t] I've been rocking this outfit for a while, everybody in my town loves it. It's stylish and comfortable. What do you guys think?
This argument is going nowhere and is going to continue to go in circles.
this is why the fix up look sharp thread exists as a containment thread [editline]25th October 2015[/editline] the thread that allows people to eternally spin in a cycle of "uh no that item of clothing is not something i would wear!!!"
