I especially love "If it's man made it's a drug, if it's a plant it's not a drug" Like how, what when, how do you get to this conclusion!? And they're so confident!
Some people really need to take a fucking chemistry class, I don't know how many times I've been told something isn't a drug because it's natural or legal, usually pointing out that botox or bleach is as well makes them feel stupid.
I especially love "If it's man made it's a drug, if it's a plant it's not a drug" Like how, what when, how do you get to this conclusion!? And they're so confident!
Because people stop thinking when they reach the easiest conclusion. I watched a video that's main message was basically how we stop thinking about an idea too soon, that when we reach a conclusion we end our thought process and move on to something new with the false confidence that we got it right that first observation/time. It's funny because confidence is in no way related to how much you actually know, as in your perception of what you may know is nowhere near the same of what you actually know. Easy examples of this is A) teens who text, surf the web, etc are actually worse at multitasking than they think they are, B) when students take a test they are asked how many questions they thought they got right and how confident they with that number, in the end the students always think they did better than they actually scored on the exam ( that last one was a project being run by my professor on his classes for his research, that smug fucker loved bringing the results after the exam showing us "this is what scores you guys thought you got -shows graph tilting toward 80-90% correct answers- this is what you actually got -graph of natural curve around the 50-60% questions correct- chuckles-). He was a great teacher though, you weren't supposed to get an easy 100% questions right, it was naturally curved but challenging so you really had to know your stuff. Back to the topic, it relates to how pride and assumption plays into it, people rarely consider themselves dumb when it comes to random knowledge like that and it makes sense in a way. As in, how often does this person think about drugs, then ask how often is this person talking drugs to another person, then how often is that other person also knowledgable about drugs, and then how often does that person interrupt the uneducated one and correct them in their bullshit, because when you think about it if someone spouts bullshit and no one else is there to challenge it, does that person know they're spewing bullshit? No. So they take that as a sign, "oh whenever I told people about my idea about how drugs are manmade and natural plants are not, no one challenged me so I must be right." See how right then and there they stopped thinking, they didn't stop to think "maybe I'm not right about this subject that I did little to no research on, and that it doesn't have any tangible proof or any logical bounds to make such a statement, maybe my idea is wrong." People rarely critically analyse their own ideas and essentially take whatever they come up with and run with it assuming they're in the right. Which is why politics, advertising, and stuff like that is so strong at influencing people since its alllll about face value bullshit and if you don't stop and think about what they are trying to get out of you, you will fall for it without question.
If you think you know a lot about a drug, open a wikipedia article on it and count how many words on there that you don't know, the human body is seriously fucking complex.
If you think you know a lot about a drug, open a wikipedia article on it and count how many words on there that you don't know, the human body is seriously fucking complex.
i'm going to study pharmaceutical sciences so i guess in the end i will get all the words
Ive been studying the pharmacy of illicit (and some pharmaceutical) drugs and its all very interestimg when you throw psychology and conciousness in the mix
I just want to add this, think about how buzzwords play into this. When you think about buzzwords you think about a word that is in a way loaded, its loaded to get you feeling a certain way without really thinking about the idea as a whole or in the grand scheme of things. Lets take "natural", as many people who say weed isn't a drug say that its because its 'natural'. Now you and I both know the word natural means nothing when it comes to drugs, since there are potent unaltered drugs like ayahuasca and shrooms, and lab only drugs that are safe like LSD and MDMA. But to these people they fall for the simple bullshit of "natural is always good for you........ because its natural". Like lol wtf what are you even saying in that statement, what is natural, what does it actually mean. It means nothing, but just by saying it makes you feel like natural is some kind of real world phenomena where less refined things are good for you vs man made, when there is no backing to the statement in any tangible/logical form. This also plays into the fact that drugs to them is also being used as a buzzword. We know drugs to be anything that alters the mind and it's perceptions of reality or something that alters body functioning. To them however drugs are the simple definition they got from DARE and the media, about how drugs are only things like crack, cocaine, heroin, and acid, whereas aspirin, alcohol, and weed are not because well 'it just isn't like that other stuff'. That's as far as their logic went when they thought about drugs 'well it just isn't like that other stuff, it just isnt'. I'm sure you guys have heard little kids like that, when they are learning something new that counters their intellect when they don't know where their original idea came from, as in the classic example of "hey kid this is actually that" and they say "nu uh this is this because... because, I don't know why, it just is." It just is shows the lack of thought after the fact, or rather shows how when they learned the thing, they didn't stop and think more into how it works practically within other worldly phenomena. And thats how buzzwords work, they invoke a knee jerk reaction that when you sit down and think about it has nothing but face value and morons fall for this shit like assuming furrys are weirdo losers, drug users are all losers, democrats vs republicans bullshit, feminism(I'm talking extremists here), sjws, triggers, all that nonsense. The reason why we fall for this shit is because it's easier not to think, if you're tired from working all day and all you have for news is the few minutes from cable news which encourages get upset now, think later, then it's no surprise buzzwords n shit is so effective in today's society.

Yesterday engaged in private facebook chats - bad investment and poor use of my time. Some girl bitched about catcalling and I chatted her up to see what actually happened. Then I said how it probably was perceived by most people. Then she said that she didn't care and that she deals with things on a whole other scale. I said I only care about the human race scale and she got mad and went into full shit fest. Second chat, I saw two guys part of my PR team of my fraternity having a 50 comment argument about the lady that pretended to be black, publicly on facebook. It devolved into saying they didn't care what the other thought. I'm thinking holy shit how do you guys think this represents us well or suitable manner. This not a forum or time or place for this discussion, especially if its going to get personal. Anyone that sees this that doesn't care about this sees this as petty argument. One of the guys understood me, unfortunately the PR chair still thinks that stuff like it is okay. The internet lives forever, PR needs to be super conservative on what it says. The idealism of my generation is too much. There are not simple solutions to most social problems, there is a reason for why things are the way they are. I'm not saying don't change, I'm saying tread lightly.
Someone desperately needs to make a parody of 2001: A Space Odyssey (specifically, the scene where the ape learns how to use tools) where a stoner figures out a device to smoke weed.

I'm not saying don't change, I'm saying tread lightly.
I really hope our mannerisms in social media evolves past where we are now in terms of how we express, interpret, and respond to each other's opinions. When you think about individual thought and opinions you have to realize that a majority of someone's formed opinions is kept to themselves. I never talked about my idea of buzzwords to anyone else, but here for my first time. Same goes for millions and billions of other's opinions where they see something, form a conclusion, and move on to something else. And that's fine, we can't expect to be critical of every moment, but when things have real life consequences that can influence your active decision on an issue like voting or supporting social changes then you need to stop and think. Anyway, back to social media, what I mean about evolving the way we argue and debate on facebook and the such is that we need to realize this may be the persons' opinions' first exposure to criticism and should be able to take that criticism appropriately. To the same standard, the person giving the criticism is also under the same scrutiny, they are not professional debaters so they shouldn't aggressively proclaim their criticisms as absolute truth either. Its very easy to poke holes in anyones statement, argument, or ideal because its easier to destroy than create. It was easier for IBM to shoot down Steve Jobs and say his shit will never work than it was for Jobs to pick up his idea and make it work. So when people are just shooting down your facebook statement, it just kinda shows that person was just browsing, saw something you posted that didn't fall in line with their own opinions, thus they can just critic critic critic you without putting theirs on the table, which isn't helping anyone. Arguments should be the melding of 2 ideas or viewpoints, not shooting one 100% down, because in the end you can find some valuable nugget of worth from even the dumbest ideas, a bit of knowledge that you didn't consider before and now can adapt it to your thinking and grow/gain a new perspective. Everyone knows how terrible facebook arguments can get, but its new, people don't know how to argue, its a venue where you see all of those thoughts (both good and bad) from your acquaintances and friends, and just like how we come up with really dumb thoughts in moments they do to, but its just posted online for everyone to see and anyone to criticize. Basically think before you post and realize posting an idea is veeery different than simply thinking it (since you add "how it will sound to others" to the mix).
heeeeeeeeeeey
My san pedro is beginning to pup already. I cut it probably 3-4 weeks ago and now 2 pups are forming on the same areole. I'll post pics [t]http://i.imgur.com/EK2n6YI.jpg[/t]

I heard something once about earwax being unused cannabinoids or something like that. Is that true? If it is, my brain wastes no cannabinoids. I haven't had earwax in years.
man was using volcano vapes all day yesterday, ate codeine and snorted ritalin then played crusader kings 2 with my mate. good times
also had a gangster maori workmate come chill with us cause hes trying to hang out with better influences. All of his friends from childhood are in gangs/do meth and he often ends up in trouble with police when he goes out. In his words "I dont go out trying to start fights, I just dont think before I act and it gets me in lots of trouble" I was glad I could be there as a postive influence but man the other guys kept talking about ultra nerdy shit about games (which I love by the way) while we were blazed and he just seemed so confused. I kept just ignoring the others conversations and talking to him about shit he likes cause fuck talking about stuff that leaves one person constantly out of the loop.

I still can't recall who first posted about it in the Lounge.
Yeah learned about it from here too. Pretty nice for a free service.

Bought a second hand mflb for half the original price like last week track and trace code says it still hasn't left the post office since the day it was brought there by the seller (normally it goes to the sorting center like a day later, and be delivered at home that same day here in the netherlands. stuff gets shipped quickly) I don't think they would confiscate a vaporizer but damn i'm growing impatient also I wanted to clarify my study: I wouldn't be working behind a pharmacy counter, but like as a scientist making new chemicals and stuff
I've found that a forum I used to frequent (but havent checked out in a while) recently added a forum called "Vices" where people post about drugs. Most people posting are completely new to drugs. This should be fun [editline]15th June 2015[/editline] Annd I'm banned for 6 months

so im about 6% sure i just smoked some meth or something. my friend had been using my scale (because its accurate to 0.01g) and weighed a bunch of "molly" on it. I told him i don't trust molly (never have, never will, unless its tested infront of me), but he could use my scale, just to be safe with it and not mess it up, etc. everythings fine, i come back home, and im scraping for a hoot- then i remember, my scale! It has to have a little bit of flakes of weed! I can use my brush to get the tiny particles out of the crevice in my scale! Then out plops this big rock (compared to the minute kief particles, it was big), i didnt think anything of it. I tossed it in my bowl, and after i put my lighter to it and inhaling, i noticed the big particle is bubbling - Uh oh, i forgot my friend used it for weighing molly, it might be a piece left! So after i finish inhaling, i notice a strange taste. kind of sweet, tough to describe. Any ideas what happened? did i smoke "molly"? It was brownish/orange/pink tinge when my friend showed me it. It looked like except more orange/pinkish
