See if there's anything different than the normal growth. If there are white sprinkles on it distinct from the other crystals then it's likely mold.
You can separate the moldy buds from the normal buds and still smoke it. There could be a way to smell it but I doubt anyone in the world could do that, because most types of bud smell different from eachother :v:

I'm going to be brutal here, but for the better of the community I'm going to tell you what I've seen over and over again when a forum community tries to migrate to an independent is the death of the community. Honestly, this community is not large enough to sustain itself and an attempt to migrate will result in, first of all, half the community leaving, half staying here, some using both sites. Already the populace is bisected. Then, there will be not enough donation to keep a webserver up. Many will simply not come back to Facepunch. Some will. Some will leave because too many others have left, the forum thread will drop into the second page, third page, there will be some revival threads, but ultimately the community will be dead.
That's my prognosis, and only because I've seen it happen many many times before with communities larger than ours. Perhaps it is a bit pessimistic, from my perspective it is realistic however.

Trichomes can be off white to amber brown depending on how far into the flowering cycle the buds were harvested

if the new site wasn't in the same format as FP and that we were actually jumping ship completely I would agree with you. I think the purpose is to be able to go on FP and go on the new DD simultaneously; I don't think people that decide to go on the new DD will never come back to FP or the DD on here

What a coincidence. I was a ninth grader that snorted 2 whole Ambiens (no clue the miligrams) and IT HAPPENED, to be the day that everyone snorting pills in the bathroom got caught. You got the wide mouth jars correct? As far as equipment goes, I must vouch in favor of using a SAB (still air box) when inoculating your jars as that would massively reduce the risk of contamination from your syringe. I steam sterilized the dozen jars of my ongoing batch (also using pf tek) and they sat contam-free for two weeks however two of them were lost to foreign molds that only showed up post inoculation after I didn't use a SAB.
Also a torch lighter would be faster at flame-sterilizing your needle between jars, but a normal lighter would suffice. Just be very careful when using alcohol obv

Ive been wanting to try growing but i would only use 1 jar for inoculation at first, using mycellium cuttings to propegate as many shrooms as you can from each ml of spore solution you bought
