mdma, alcohol, ganja, this kat's fucked long time no see my brethren.
Because people are dumb, I believe drug legalization would temporarily create a spike in drug related deaths, but long term is better. A lot of people treat alcohol like it's completely safe right now, so imagine those people while law abiding citizens now with cheap heroin, they will run themselves into the ground. Weed kills a lot of peoples motivation and some will do less than before while others will trade alcohol for it and be more productive.
Long term, though natural selection will take its course on some like that, though others might end up in the medical system being artificially preserved for longer. It would also create problems for the health care system, as some people will bring overdoses on themselves and don't have the money to pay for it, so the tax payers be punished. Though if the taxes on sales of the drugs would cover the medical expenses of people that overdose with no money that would be great.
Education is the best tool for reducing drug related death. If we taught people about drug use and abuse with the same intensity of the anti-drunk driving movement, then people will consider drug knowledge as common knowledge just like how almost everyone agrees that drunk driving is bad. But guess what, teaching people about the complexities of addiction, responsible drug use, and prescription use is not an easy thing to do. However just because it's hard doesn't mean we should just throw our hands up and give up. If you want a more educated society you have to work for it, it doesn't just fall into your lap. This would require drug education to be implemented in schools, campaigns with tv advertising making us aware about signs of addiction, support systems and outreach programs geared to give people access to clinics for abuse and addiction. There is a lot of work to be done in that field let alone the work it would take to set up legalization. It just bothers me how people are quick to think 'ah well legalization would take a lot of work, you'd have to teach people and that's too hard', well how will you know if you don't try? Yes people are dumb now, but they don't have to be left like that.
okay one more..http://www.maninthedark.com/ do a motion you want him to follow with your mouse then click. this is effectively how I feel right now.

Nobody is going to decide to try heroin just because it's legal. Most likely drug use would stabilize if it doesn't decrease. And I personally disagree that you'd see more overdoses, with a system that's producing quality, regulated drugs overdoses are extremely possible but much less probable than if bought from that foreign dude down the road. This will have a direct and immediate positive effect if we implemented it tonight and the regulations were decided by the people rather than paid politicians. You will see change
Maybe we should all have to get drug licenses
You wanna try acetylmorphine? You gotta pass these certifications and sign off on all these papers saying "I'm an adult, I have muh freedoms, give me my goshdurn herronn."
Then go pick it up with signed papers and your license/ID and pay taxes on that shit.
Bam. You wanna be negligent and overdose? Fine, but you signed that paper which read "If you die, it's your fault. You better hope your friends take care of your ass, cause the hospital won't.

That system should be left for state legislatures to decide, and for voters to directly amend through ballot initiatives.
we got nos balloons too, two of the trillest motherfuckers are chillen at my place, i am in a fuckin perfect place right now, and extend my invitation to these good vibes to all here <3
I heard of a system in I think Vancouver, where they had safe rooms for homeless/regular people to shoot up with clean needles and medical care if needed, and the overdose rate in the area dropped dramatically
I think safe places for psychedelic use for both recreation and personal growth purposes with trained staff to help people through personal problems and integrate their experiences could change the world, really

Sure is. It's a tribute to Nujabes after he died, such a lovely album for a lovely person, shame he had to go in such a way.
I just read an entire book about finding and following your calling in life and living the life you want to live (I haven't read this much at once on years), leaving just enough time for it to settle into my brain before my next trip. Gonna integrate the fuck out of this book
I've also discovered that this chrome plugin called Spreeder is fucking amazing. I was able to read this book at 500 words per minutes without getting distracted and with full comprehension, and now when I tried to read normally there's already a significant increase in my reading ability. Books will be no match for me now that I have this, hopefully I'll get up to 1000wpm with enough practice
Can't find a job so looking into clinical trials and sperm donation for income, anyone here had experience with either?
Also looking for something new to read so if anyone's read something that really got them thinking or that they couldn't put down, let me know!
Smoking through this hash rapidly and tobacco too. Thoughts are all over the place lately, need to get myself back on track and doing something.

Fucking brave new world is my favourite of all the 3 big dystopian novels. After that it's probably 1984 then Fahrenheit 451 but honestly if you're looking for some good novels it's a good place to start. They're all fucking fantastic.
Probably one of my favourite books of all time is Catch 22, a fucking brilliant book. On the weirder side of the spectrum would be "Roadside Picnic", the book that inspired stalker (both the 1979 Soviet movie and the game) which is fucking phenomenal and really unique. The original book of "into the wild" is really good too. That's all i've got off the top of my head.

I've been reading Heinlein's The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, it's pretty cool so far

I think my brain told me while I was asleep to stick to taking one tab tomorrow, so I'm gonna take my own advice and wait until my next trip to take two

He had interesting topics brought up, but most of his mumbo-jumbo was just what he dreamt while being high. I notice that I am in the minority in this thread according to all those ratings, but I don't know what you guys see in him. He has great philosophy and sci-fi value, but other than that it's just hot air. He is supposed to have ''experience'' in a lot of fields, ecology, biology, geology etc, but there are alot of holes in his ''theories''. His anthropology is in general overly optimistic and naive.
People buy into this kind of pseudoscience way too easily. They hear stuff secondhand and parrot it without any understanding. Psychedelics make you feel smarter and more creative than you actually are. They make you feel like you're in on this grand cosmic secret, but if you were to try to explain that secret to anyone it would sound like run of the mill new age hokum. It is an experience, nothing more and nothing less. It cannot be explained or analyzed very much, when it does the mystique vanishes under scrutiny. Psychedelics didn't create civilization and they won't save it.
ALSO read his brother's book;
Dennis McKenna - The Brotherhood of the Screaming Abyss
I mostly treat him like he's a work of art and see his ramblings as fuel for the imagination rather than scientific fact. Just like sci-fi, fantasy and creative thought like his are precursors to discovering reality, opening our minds to possibilities we would have otherwise never considered.
I'm trying to figure out what it is I want in life. I've always just wanted to be happy and help others be happy. Other than that, I really don't know. I feel like I already have everything I need, as well as my happiness, I just have to find it in myself. I just don't know what else I want to do in life, my family keeps pushing "ambition" on me like I need to be another fucking retail associate, soldier, celebrity, or some bullshit. Like going to college is automatically going to make me realize what I want to do in life and make me some model citizen.
I don't know what to do other than take care of my family, friends, and myself.
Am I supposed to do what everyone else does and do something really stupid and regrettable and spend the rest of my life running or paying off my debt to society? I just don't get it and it this question keeps nagging me and really bringing me down. It snowballs into me feeling like a huge waste of anyone's time.

A lot of what he said and wrote is purely subjective because the psychedelic experience is purely subjective. On the other hand, he makes a ton of good points in Food of the Gods beyond "mushrooms created conciousness". He talks a lot about symbiosis, religion, evolution, language. He's a philosophical genius at times, and i could listed to his voice for hours. He had a pretty large vocabulary and a very unique way with words.
Some of his more ridiculous claims (like a computer progtam that proved the end of the world would be 2012) are out there but i think that shouldn't discredit his more important work.
I would guess that most of his theories werent established during psychedelic experiences but rather influenced by them.
Went on two ayahuasca trips last week, the first one went amazing, the second one I drank way too much, didn't go too well, but I still tapered off an immense feeling of peace and well-being, as well as an amazing insight.
At one point I thought I was going to die, but for some reason it didn't bother me. Death, I realized, was peace. I finally came to peace with my mortality. Throughout our lives we endure so much, take it all in, we're awake for most of it, you don't realize it, but it's all very exhausting. That there's an end to consciousness, that's a gift. Why would I want to live forever when I'm old and tired, of the mind and the soul?
That is not to say that I'm going to go kill myself at any point, I've just come to peace with the eventuality. I don't feel that existential anxiety anymore. I've never believed in an afterlife for any long period of time, but I'd always been horrified by the prospect. I rebelled against the idea that death would mean peace, the end of consciousness scared the shit out of me. I'm okay with that now.
I want to trip :(
Will Bupropion (Dopamine and Norepinepherine reuptake inhibitor) have any negative reactions with anything?
I'm finally off the lexapro, and I need to do some conciousness building.

Bupropion affects the same enzyme as white grapefruit juice for DXM, except to the extent that you shouldn't take more than a minimal theraputic dose for a cough or else you'll get serotonin syndrome/trip to death.
On 150mg weed will be a tad more psychedelic, a bit less euphoric, and will probably cause a bit more anxiety; at 300mg weed stops being fun in any way and turns into a quick and easy way to become delusional and super anxious (at least it did for me when I tried 300mg for a week, it might level out if you're on 300mg for longer bit idk)
Other than that it seems to be mostly fine, salvia might be potentiated a tiny bit (I haven't tried it off Wellbutrin but 5x was strong for me), LSD feels completely as it should, shrooms etc. I haven't tried but should also be fine
150mg is the "starter" dose usually but I've stuck with it for 9 months and I no longer get the daily feeling of not wanting to exist and that's enough of an effect for me to be satisfied
Perfect! I love potentiated threshold DXM doses. I don't need more than 150mg.
That will even go perfect with some VR and Elite Dangerous.
The first time I took wellbutrin I took 50mg and felt more than I do now that I'm prescribed 150mg/day. I guess now that it's in my system I don't feel it, I just don't feel like being dead or secluded, either.
