They were poorly thought out. For example, the vaccination question. I don't think all children should be forced to vaccinate due to legitimate medical conditions that may preclude them. So I was forced to default to "Parents should be able to not vaccinate" because it was the most accurate answer in my case. Yes, in some cases it should not be forced.
They were also very US centric for being a primarily UK forum.

i just take anything that says "all kids should be required to vaccinate by law" as coming with an implicit "unless there are legitimate medical conditions that would exempt them" attached to it

I'll be honest, I don't understand most of these complaints
The 2013 census had 15 questions
The 2014 census had 15 as well
The 2016 census had 17
The 2015 census (Smurfy's, god bless) had a whopping [B]69[/B] (heh) questions
Mine isn't the most inclusive, but it's not too far off the mark either, with [B]58[/B] questions
The big draw with these is that they give a nice, clean outline of FP's demographics and opinions on big topics. They've never been very specific, and I don't see why they should be. I explicitly avoided making written options, because I think the census is already lengthy and entertaining enough as it is. There's an exception for games, sure, but those 3 questions, despite having the least amount of responses, already make up 1022 answers that will have me sifting through hundreds of jokes, misspellings and "dunno lol"s. Since I didn't want another three thousand bits of info on my plate, and I keep up with new music releases even less than I do with TV series, I chose to ignore music completely (like pretty much every census before this one has) and keep the TV show question (even though it'd have been a lot better with a written section) because I'd already written it

I've always found this one interesting. If you look back on the other years and some of the other data, it looks like FP has a dedicated userbase that joined at around the same time, at around the same age. I remember one of the older census(es?) had the majority of the site at 19 or so, and now that majority is aging pretty linearly (I guess if you age exponentially you need to get that checked). It's pretty nice that we get to see a whole community maturing like this
