It is a bad thing if two songs sound the same. I would not blame a band that was only improv for having songs that sound similar, but bands such as Nickleback spend a year or more in the studio. If they're really working they would realize they're stumbling over something similar musically. But I don't know what they're doing in there. Maybe they want to sound the same as always.
btw, the Transformer movies suck ass if thats what you're talking about.

Nickelback wasn't bad on their first couple albums, but then they started losing their style after the second album. So they turned emotional or something with their next album.

I hold a minimal value on human life. My opinion is that the likes of Bieber, most country artists, and Nickelback all should've been aborted.
