The image is no longer working, what did it contain?
The image is no longer working, what did it contain?
fixed
Well, I did a little research and learned a shitload about hacking. I don't believe the writers of that image speak english as their first language, because it's not very well written. But I do support this cause, now that I understand it. here's an anti-sec blog entry I read: I'll admit, these people aren't real good at getting to the point, but they do have one. http://antisec.wordpress.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero_day_attack
And I thought I was crazy.
Fucking script kiddies
the anti-sec movement sounds cool. Finnaly removing stupid script kiddies and shit
the anti-sec movement sounds cool. Finnaly removing stupid script kiddies and shit
The irony is that they publish it in a very script-kiddy-esque manner. So much shit (blogs, personal sites, forum threads) is broken now and there's probably no way to undo it. Most likely, the most the people at imageshack can do is create an auto-deleter that looks for pixel matches and either deletes the pic or replaces it with a "this image has been removed" kinda thing. EDIT: mm3guy confirmed that it appears to be, basically, a redirect, so the old images are still there if someone fixes the servers. Yay! :v:
Looks like server 05 and 15 are affected. 25 next?

Why don't they just make a blog for their shitty "movement" instead of fucking shit up for others.
This. Why don't they just make a blog for their shitty "movement" instead of fucking shit up for others.
Well first of all, they do have blog, and second, I think that plan would be real effective. "Let's change the world with a blog! :D" Also, I doubt anyone was heavily effected by this. So a few images got replaced, if you didn't have them backed up that's your problem. While these people may be annoying at times, it's comforting to me that there are still some groups out there that have the power to fuck shit up. Imagine a society so closely controlled that this was impossible. I want the system to be weak enough to fall is all I'm saying. PS, the guy below me has a point too.

Read the bottom of the image
I don't think they deleted everything, they just broke the servers. Read the bottom of the image
That could be true. They may just be temporarily like, redirecting it I guess? Don't ask me I'm not a hacker. Or they could just have a sick sense of humor. KK mm3guy just confirmed it's probably a redirect, is all good.

Here, let's look at an image oon a compromised server: http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/2586/b18c4c0cd9d0d723b0e5d7fdc3.jpg let's try and type in random gibberish that can't possibly exist on the site: http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/2586/45435435645645644565464*/*/*-/-*/-*/-*/-*/-*/-*/*-$#%^$%^&%^&*56743566546465644565645466545466544.jpg They've made an htaccess entry to redirect all requests to that image or something, all images are safe and intact. Take this info into account before panicking.
I never used imageshit. I got my site to host my pics.

So, no need to panic guys. :buddy: Also@above
Imageshit can suck my balls etc.
I and many others find it quite useful. You can see our concern about how if it were actually replacing the images it would seriously fuck a lot of shit over right?
Yeah, my images are also like this.
I use imgkk.com I love the firefox addon :D Best Site EVER
4chan has been down for days from a DDOS attack.
It's been back up since yesterday.

It's a metaphor I guess.
I don't understand, how do they plan to stop script kiddies? All programs must be worked on and debugged for 20 years so that in no way it may be modified.
Oh well, it's not like you should use imageshack anyway. It used to be good but now it's slow and full of ads.
I wonder if they'll hit filesmelt.
Test test It's fine for me
Hmm...
Whilst trying to look back at one of my previous posts on this page, I noticed a slight change in my linked images! Bit more info here: (some are back up. post 213 is still hacked. Reminds me a lot of V for Vendetta, when V makes his broadcast show on every TV and billboard in the country! Except less awesome.) http://mashable.com/2009/07/10/imageshack-hacked/
and nothing of value was lost
anti sex [editline]03:59AM[/editline] =[
Imageshack sucks anyway, imgkk and tiny pic is where it's at.
Wow, these guys gave away their IP address during one of their previous hacks. http://www.pastebinfail.com/2009/07/anti-sec-hack-log.html When the hacker showed off his "mad l337 skillz" by executing the "w" command (A Linux command that shows a list of all local and remote users logged onto the system), he forgot to censor his IP address when it listed his session. 125.238.144.224 IP address traces back to Tauranga, New Zealand. At least the NZ authorities have their work done for them...
