And yes, 9/11 was an act of war, so those people who died are just as important as the 60,000 who died in Hiroshima. they are just collateral damage, and they are just a statistic.
Oh well, this isn't a big deal. It's sad and all, but bringing it up every year changes NOTHING.

good logic, you're saying the death of 3000 people can be justified?
i reiterate, dumb children who don't understand.
Yes, it can be very well justified. How about you research the events prior to 9/11. e.g Soviet-Afghan War. Afghan post-war.
i'm not even american, i just understand the loss of human life, unlike you.
It was 3,000 people. That's nothing. There are 6.5 billion people in the world.
6,500,000,000 people -3000
6,499,997,000
Not exactly a huge difference bro. Not trying to say this is okay or justify it or anything, I mean of course it would be horrible for those directly affected by it (family members etc) but on a global scale of terror 9/11 is horribly overrated.
Can we just lock this thread already? Having 4 of them breeds nothing but disgrace
Should we forget every time the USA slaughters people. Hiroshima as was said above?
And its war, and deaths can be justified in wars. So personally I don't give a shit about the statistics who died in that building.
At the same time we can also remember the holocaust...
Shit can't find a list of names

Lets compare the 3000 Americans to the dead Haitians, The Americans had excellent jobs, quality of life and would have lived a great life, Haiti was a fucked up country where poor family's would have 5 children for no reason, and it also destroyed several buildings that were worked on for years.
At the same time we can also remember the holocaust...

you would have to find a list with over 6 million people on it + dead troops so just go ahead and add another 60 million.

I know. It would have been funny to have to split it up into probably 100+ posts
At the same time we can also remember the holocaust...

That's weird. It's easier to find a list of names of people who died on a single day in a particular place than it is to find a list of names of people who died in something that was happening over a timespan in multiple places.
I always find it easier to feel empathetic toward individual cases rather than large cases like 9/11 and the holocaust. It just doesn't affect me emotionally.

You're comparing the wrong thing. Lets compare the 3000 Americans to the 150,000 Afghan soldiers that were used as pawns of the United States to stop further advance of the Soviet communist reach. Oh let us not forget the 1,000,000 civilians that were killed during this time period. Let us remember that is only during the war. I'm not going to even mention the struggle of Afghanistan after the United States packed their bags and told them to rebuild for themselves. Hows that for a good fuck you?

You completely misunderstand. As Americans, 3,000 of us don't get massacred and nothing gets done about it.
You could have 5 million civilians massacred by some psychopath in Asia, but that's quite honestly none of our business (unless philanthropists and such want to donate to fixing a fucked-up situation like that).
But you just don't kill 3,000 innocent Americans. We don't ignore shit like that. We would have gone out and kicked Al-qaeda's ass if it had only been 300.
Sorry if you're trying to make my life, my friends' lives, or those 3,000 killed worth less as Americans, I understand you're not exactly fond of us.
That's because I know of a little two little words that are called STATISTICS and WAR.
i know of a little two words called IMMATURITY and YOUNG AGE.
woops that's three.

Wow you idiot. Do you not realize I'm speaking about the the Soviet-Afghan war? 20 years before the events of 9/11?

Yes Immature that you whine and cry over split milk

don't even bother with him. he's just another bandwagoning american hater who thinks because so many others have died elsewhere that 3000 americans means nothing and was justified.
People mourn their own family because its their family. But millions of others mourn a disaster in no way are they related to.
Why wont you let me relate to another human being. You asshole :saddowns:
So its ok for Hitler to kill 6 million people to Americans but its FUCKING HORRIBLE for a mere 3000 people to die because of a act of war? I think I just lost hope for all America.

No you douche, just because they mourn one tragedy doesn't mean they are rejecting the sadness of another
Why wont you let me relate to another human being. You asshole :saddowns:
Because statistics are statistics. All those people who died are nothing but mere numbers, they have less importance in your life than that keyboard that you used to type that message.
[editline]01:30PM[/editline]
No you douche, just because they mourn one tragedy doesn't mean they are rejecting the sadness of another
But they fill the entire media with it. and everyone's heads. I think people should be mourning the millions of innocents that America killed during the war that bush started.
[editline]01:30PM[/editline]
9/11 Floods out all other tragedies.
Because statistics are statistics. All those people who died are nothing but mere numbers, they have less importance in your life than that keyboard that you used to type that message.
Yes they do, I sympathize with people all the time. Just because you're some sort of sociopath doesn't mean everyone else should be as well. Start being more objective.

9/11 Floods out all other tragedies.
Yes it does. One day per year.
Sympathizing still does not mean they are any more important. Americans tend to mourn what the news tells them to mourn so most Americans don't mourn the innocents who died. and America only mourns this and pearl harbor day. So technically it is flooding the media.
Yes it does. One day per year.
Are you joking me? People have been expressing their hate for Muslims ever since the event happened.
Pull something out of your ass that will actually make you look like you know what you're talking about. PLEASE I beg.
i actually forgot today was 911
I think this is the 9th 9/11 thread today. There really only was need for 2. One for serious, and one for all the conspiracy theory's.
The conspiracy one was locked and the OP was banned.
Longest scroll i ever scrolled.
Should we forget every time the USA slaughters people. Hiroshima as was said above?
How about this, your country goes and kills some people somewhere in the world, and then someone from that country comes and kills your parents.
how would you feel? you would be thinking "oh my god, why did they do this, i've never done anything to them, why did I deserve this."
now multiply that times 3000. No one in that building had any relation to the deaths that would "justify" their lives lost.
[editline]06:07PM[/editline]
can't believe people are so desensitized and bandwagoning. no deaths are justified. none. i don't care if someone goes and kills a bunch of people, there is no logical, mature reason to retaliate with the same. it's just blind anger. if a country wants revenge, then go start a war with a country that can defend itself, don't go and blindly kill their civilians.
people forget that "eye for an eye" saying is too true.
