Talking about the original Starfuckers Quake is like 50/50 ambiance Instrumental Broken Wasn't surprised, just neat. Can't find it though
I love Starfuckers Inc. One of my favorite songs
The first How To Destroy Angels song! The Drowning [editline]11:03PM[/editline] It's all Mariqueen, I like it a lot. Really surprised. Doesn't sound like The Slip at all. It's like the latter part of Year Zero and Ghosts. I don't like comparing music to other music.
I quite like it. I want more.
Haha Trent's song writing is unmistakable. And if that isn't him then whoa. I think I like it, it's pretty cool hearing NIN instrumental work with female vocals, which is part of why La Mer is so awesome to me. Kinda eerie too, somehow... well I hope the rest of the EP is this level of quality or better. Since Trent has a recent habit of putting out his least interesting songs for his previews , I have unfairly high expectations :v:
Well, I think that is the case for the past few years except Survivalism. But, this could be really cool. I feel like this os Trent's introduction of Mariqueen to NIN fans. "Fans, this is my wife Mariqueen. She's drowning and shit, got it? Mariqueen, these are our fans (we don't like the ones on myspace and Twitter). They're starved for new content!" [editline]03:10AM[/editline] The whole song sounds like the end of TDTWWWA
TDTWWA* caps
Oh shit. I feel awful forgetting shit about NIN :( all my NIN CDs got stolen so I don't have a reminder everyday.
I want to buy The Fragile but I'm patiently waiting for the re-release.
I can't wait to hear Mariqueen and Trent singing on a song together.
I can't wait to hear Mariqueen and Trent singing on a song together.
.
I don't know if I'll re-buy all my CDs. Cost a lot. I'll probably just buy the major ones. And this new album. It's weird to think of Trent Reznor and not Nine Inch Nails. Trent Reznor in How To Destroy Angels.
I always thought of Nine Inch Nails as Trent Reznor anyhow but yeah it's weird to think of him in something else.
A Drowning is awesome
I always thought of Nine Inch Nails as Trent Reznor anyhow but yeah it's weird to think of him in something else.
Your avatar is causing me to read your posts in Dexter's quizzical insinuative voice.
I always thought of Nine Inch Nails as Trent Reznor anyhow but yeah it's weird to think of him in something else.
If you think him being in How To Destroy Angels is weird wait until you see some of his stuff before NIN (not option 30). he looks really uncomfortable in that video
What the FUCK [editline]11:47AM[/editline]
Dat music video. I find it funny that he was doing that head bang thing he does but with the keyboard.
I would love it if Trent did the soundtrack for DOOM 4. That would be awesome. He did say he wanted to do something with games again or soundtracks.
Listening to A Drowning a second time, I realized, wait a minute the beginning bassline thing reminds me of The Wretched. Or maybe its remix.
i swear that piano is right out of right where it belongs i'll have to check later
How To Destroy Angels has made me alright with the thought of Trent outside of NIN. plus on the facebook fan question thread he said he was getting ready to record new NIN material. Awesome :3
I just don't think Trent has his aggression and anger anymore. We won't see another Fragile or Downward Spiral, so this new material better venture wayy far out of NIN territory.
Trent was only angry for like 2 and a half (one side of The Fragile) albums. So you shouldn't be used to NIN being angry... [editline]06:22AM[/editline] I think A Drowning is about death in a car (glare in reflection, looking back in anger) crash (the weird mess of noise) and going to a afterlife (tiny little window swarms of locust) drowning (sins) Maybe Trent is having a complex of religion.
Third time listening to A Drowning, at the end Mariqueen is channeling a bit of Kurt Cobain of all things... her last 'Ooooooo-ooooooohs' are pretty much like the end of On A Plain.

okay fuck this i'm out, later
