"The Space in Between"

I really liked that
I know someone said it before, but Trent is doing the theme for the new Tetsuo movie.

I also suggest people watch the Tetsuo movies, they are weird as shit.
Guys give your email to the How To Destroy Angels site, they let you listen to 'The Believers' (aka that neat track from the first video). Also they'll send you the whole EP free on June 1st.
'The Believers' pretty tight, very Ghost-like. Lyrics are kinda silly again, but that's not surprising. At least it's not as boring as 'The Space In Between'
I think I did a long time ago, but thanks for the heads up.
dude AWESOME
Definitely a step in the right direction. Miles better than The Slip.

I've been staring at the fragile cover for too long. I never noticed the faces unitil now.
What
HDA EP is alright, Spaces in between is the only decent song tbh
Ordered one of the tee-shirts (the one without any text, just looks decent and I don't own any black tees)
I don't agree with you. BBB is the only meh song. The rest are Okay-Good
They're all so generically trent reznorish though
They lack any kind of hook or memorability, Spaces in between and BBB is the closest they get to anything I'd call a self contained 'song' with more individual style
The rest could fit just as well on any other trent reznor record made in the last 3 years, which is mildly irksome given his 'I want to go outside of my own comfort zone' attitude
Similarity is an issue with a first EP?

I hate your avatar by the way, I was thinking it wasn't loading.
listening to the new HTDA album. its pretty good, quite noisy, reminds me of the downward sprial in a way.
the vocals are very reznor-esque.
I only really ended up liking Fur-Lined and The Believers. A Drowning and The Spaces in Between are okay, but Bbb and parasite are so bad. So bad.

That Tetsuo song rocks my socks, though.
Mini review go
The Space In Between
I always said I hated this track but in the context of the whole album it makes an interesting little intro.
Parasite
The only track I really don't like at all, just a bunch of fucking around with noise makers and silly lyrics. Cool to hear Mariqueen and Trent together though.
Fur-Lined
Ah the obligatory Only/Discipline ripoff. Pretty catchy, and I like how Mariqueen sings this... if only she weren't so damn distorted.
BBB
One of my favorites, except... big black boots? Really? That 'Video 1' beat never gets old though so yeah I can almost forgive the dumb lyrics.
The Believers
Probably #1 track, like a jungle Ghosts with Mariqueen saying stuff that doesn't make sense. Sorta similar to BBB to my ears but that's alright.
A Drowning
Eh, don't like it as much compared to everything else now, but it makes for a good closer.
I quite like the parts of Bbb that were shown in the first preview, but the big black boots thing was so goddamn ridiculous. :v:
I thought that was what she was saying in BBB and I was really disappointed. Bad lyrics.
Listen to the sounds... of my big black boobs.
lol

bbb
Gave a listen to the HTDA EP yesterday, it's awful.
A Drowning and that first song which is so generic I already forgot its name are decent but nothing special, everything else is terrible. 1/5.
lol you're pretty wrong, bro

Oh yeah, I forgot that there's no such thing as subjectivity.:downs:
If you like it that's fine and dandy, but I think it's a piece of shit.
I love the fact that the first NIN concert I went to was right on my birthday.

Elaborate on what you didn't like about it
Elaborate on what you didn't like about it
The vocals are quite annoying.
The lyrics are awful(Big black boots? Are you kidding me?).
It feels like NIN a bit too much.
Almost every track sounds the same(bad).
The fact that the two best tracks on the EP are mediocre themselves.
I can agree the Vocals don't really shift from muffled conversation sounding
BBB is really the only one with awful lyrics
It's their first EP, you shouldn't be expecting much - he even said it sounds like NIN and plan on giving HTDA their own sound
Some tracks sound similar but I don't find bad

What faces?
