Pretty much (read: every) country recognizes the sovereignty of the United States. Including the country we rebelled from.
USA is technically not a sovereign nation under the 14th amendment, it is a Corporation of States, each state is a franchise and the citizens are that of a foreign state.
Does this mean that I have to spell "color" with a "u" now? The video "United States of the British Crown" scared the shit out of me, because I thought the lady doing it was my mom. Her screen name "Earthicastar" is even a combination of the "NatureName" she gave herself when I was a kid (Earth Star--and with her name being Erica, Earthica sounds just like something she'd think is awesome). Her crackpot conspiracy theories and profile led me to further think that this may be my long lost mom. However, a quick google search led me to discover my actual mom elsewhere. The discovery led me to videos of my little Indian half-brothers and sisters, and if they weren't so hilarious, I'd feel very sad.
Wow, you're as dumb as a fucking rock. English is a mix of about every single language in the world.
Woah there man. I might have to report you for flaming rocks.
I really don't care about how languages work, fact is English is British and has spread throughout the world because of the vast empire Britain once commanded, this is not a thread about languages, if they concern you so much go make a thread about it. English is called "English" because it comes from England. period. get back on topic :D plox
Troll or Fucking Retard? ...You decide.
Woah there man. I might have to report you for flaming rocks.
Please forgive me dear Richard.
USA is technically not a sovereign nation under the 14th amendment, it is a Corporation of States, each state is a franchise and the citizens are that of a foreign state.
Uh no. Learn what a god damn franchise is. Or better yet, go to gradeschool. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franchising
Uh no. Learn what a god damn franchise is. Or better yet, go to gradeschool. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franchising
The word 'franchise' is of anglo-french derivation - from franc- meaning free, and is used both as a noun and as a (transitive) verb.[1] Just to prove that English is a borrowing language.
how old are you???? This thread actually made no sence. I sent it to 4 of my buddies who are turbo nerds and they said where did you pull this out of
If you could read I wrote in the 1st post random things poped up when I was looking back on American-British relations. I just thought I should share it that's all.
What's going in this thread? I've read some half decent America-Britain debates on here before, which is as good as they can get because it's such a ridiculous thing to fight on anyways. But this makes absolutely no sense...
While I don't believe any of this, I'm picking up on an attitude of "I will just write off any source of information that is provided as false and/or biased" from quite a number of people. It bugs me when people don't like something so they just cover their ears (metaphorically) and run around shouting "that's biased!".

Instead we're claiming it's factually and historically inaccurate, completely misguided, full of fallacy, and could easily completely be disproven with several hours in the library of congress.
cool 1000 posts
America sucks lol hurr modern car a bomb lol look at me ima rebel
You do realize british scientists helped with the Atomic bomb right?
I wouldn't mind so much if people actually look at a source, read it and then said "yeah, that's a load of shit. Here's why:".
Hi.
I don't get it, you think that Britain would claim American accomplishments? you mean like America has done to Britain in the past? British inventors have been the force behind most iconic inventions to date, why would we soil that reputation with stealing America's accomplishments? America invented the death of the world... the Atom Bomb. I'll stick to Inventing the Modern car thanks...
We also happened to be the first to utilize nuclear power as a feasible source of energy (though not the first to think of it, I'll give you that one)
In the United States, this led to the creation of the first man-made reactor, known as Chicago Pile-1, which achieved criticality on December 2, 1942.

Okay. Prove how these "story's" are true.
No, because I'm not looking to prove the OP's idea is right. I'm trying to get across a point, which you are apparently missing, that it bugs me when a load of people dismiss sources as biased or unreliable just because they are backing a controversial subject. Conversely, as an example, I could argue that the war in Afghanistan never happened and that all the news reporters reporting on it are biased and are lying.
