although from what I have collected he rarely plays non-taiko modes anymore :v

He was #252 at his highest ranking point
he stopped caring about it though, fair enough it was and still is shit even with the new system

actually tapping while using 1 keyboard key can make you go A LOT faster with less than half the effort. Being able to click with keyboard requires more skill. Problem with tapping is it's extremely hard to go slow whilst keeping an accuracy, not exactly what you would expect.
Also I don't know how good orkel is any more, safe to say he doesn't even play standard osu! any more. I miss the old osu! threads...

I haven't played normal osu in like half a year.. only taiko mode nowadays. Obviously my osu score will go down.
