When they did these vids for Red Dead that shit looked revolutionary yo but this just looks kinda average.
Doesn't that make people in bullet time vulnerable since they're going slow compared to everyone not in LoS?
No, because immediately when you try to shoot at them you'll go slow as well.

Only players in your line of sight... That means someone could run up behind you, watch you doing all these sick moves in super slow motion, Smirk, then just pop you, kind of like Indiana Jones does to the guy being fancy with the sword

rockstar is like the HBO of gaming, theyve never made a game i didnt like
The way The Specialists does slow motion is perfect. It basically slows everyone that can see you and you go slightly faster than everyone else, and you can only get slow mo by killing a certain amount of people or grabbing powerups. Even then, the max amount you can get is about 3 seconds long.
oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god
Eh.. Doesn't it fuck something up though? Let's say you're in that mode where you're payne and his buddy, you killed, say, half their team, running away from the remaining one, they engage bullet time on you, you and they go in slowmo, meanwhile, the other half of the team that respawned runs toward you at full speed, what the hell? Without even the respawning part, you're just retreating, there was one guy who went bullet time on you, and suddenly 3 more guys arrive at fullspeed, and only get slowed when they're in the vicinity.
It boggles my mind that Rockstar actually managed to implement slowmo in multiplayer. The Specialists had it, but you could only get a few seconds at a time after killing people. It seems like you get a full bar of slowmo in Max Payne. The commentator said there will be other bursts too, so slowmo won't be everyone's skill. I'm guessing there'll be shit that boosts damage and speed.
There's one burst called Paranoia that makes the other team see teammates' gamertags as the enemy's color. At higher levels it turns on friendly-fire for them too. There's also one called Sneaky that changes the color of your gamertag so that the enemy team sees you as friendly.
And they go into slow motion, what's the problem?
Well.. The problem is that you catch up in seconds because someone slowed the time around your enemy? The way it's shown seems (I'm getting hypothetical here) when you're or someone is in your field of view (or nearby, I assume, like a sphere, of some sort, or when someone crosses you in a closed room): let's say you're in a corridor that goes from South no North You're at south, 2 enemies are in front of you, you kill one, and flee for some reason from the second one. You run North The second guy chases you and use the same path The first guy you killed earlier respawns and come back, but comes to the North entrance, where you're going Your chaser tries to kill you with bullet time, you and he are both slowed Time is slowed for you BOTH, but not the guy you killed and is coming back, not until he's near you at any rate. The guy coming from north catches up to you quite easily, since you're slowed because of bullet time and there's not much you can do about it. I know this might seem far fetched, but it's not, even in a non organized play, a player can always come back to the previous location.

I don't see the issue there
Looks good, I just wish remedy was working on it.
So the problem is that he can come back after spawning quicker? I don't see the issue there
I don't know, I think it's a bit weird how you can catch up because you're going at normal speed and your target is being slowed, maybe just me who finds it weird tho. Though they've got balls, for going through this barrier that so many dev's were afraid to cross, I think I can safely say if the max payne multiplayer's bullet time is successful, we'll see a lot of similar multiplayer gameplay afterward. Edit: But then about about someone throwing a grenade, does it suddenly flies in slowmo because it's near someone in bullet time, or you threw it inside a building a guy was hiding in? Is the guy who threw it slowed aswell? What if he just threw it over the wall at random? So many examples that makes me wonder how it plays out, I'm actually very curious..!
Looks good, I just wish remedy was working on it.
They've helped Rockstar okay things like story elements, if that helps.
