Borderlands is much more visually clear than battleborn, and you know there's something wrong when Borderlands is more visually clear than your game.
its 40$ on pc in the us if you dont want extra battle.net shit
Man the fuck that's $55 here and we get charged $70 instead. Wish I could get the US price, I'd definitely pay $55 for a solid as hell, highly polished multiplayer shooter like this.
The amount of stellar art and animation is worth the $40 alone.
The back to back clips really did show off how much better the animation is in overwatch The battleborn beta was alright but I definitely wouldn't pay $70 for it, having to unlock the characters is dumb too
In my opinion Overwatch is everything that Battleborn is not. i.e. slick, refined and elegantly designed. Also 40 bux. I would rather have more resources focused on multiplayer than a ten hour co op campaign with edgy Gearbox writing and on rails hallways of really lame enemies that stroll out like a shooting gallery. This is just me, but Battleborn just kinda triggers me when I look at it. It looks awful to me. It makes me a little bit ill it looks so bad. I don't want Gearbox to fail because I think they had something special with the first Borderlands and Brothers in Arms were legit very near and dear to my childhood. But FUG Battleborn looks like a ugly, bloated sixty dollar mess.

Naming that as a complaint is silly. I have all of them unlocked and I have basically only played Battleborn for three days.
I wonder if Battleborn will become Free to Play. Probably bet its inevitable for it to happen
I'd expect after a few years overwatch may go f2p with a lot more microtransactiony cosmetic goodness like TF2
As long as it doesn't end up with a shitty crafting system, bullshit keys for loot boxes, or alternate weapons for heroes, buying heroes and hero rotations and all that shit, I'd be fine with F2P Overwatch happening down the line. But if they can keep it going without that, I'd choose for it to remain at a premium every time. I don't want a repeat of the terrible shitshow TF2 became.
given they're starting out with an optional lootcrate system (more akin to battlefield's battlepacks) I don't doubt we'll see that evolve over time, but hopefully it's for the better
Well over the past few days ive managed to put 34 hours into Battleborn so far, I've had no problems with matchmaking times or whatnot so I've gotten my moneys worth so far. And I feel like theres going to be a small influx of players once the Overwatch beta ends.

They can have Battleborn, just give me the badass Steampunk robot with the cane rifle. And from it I realized how much I loved this game. Plus $40 for getting the game itself, that just sold the whole thing. Battleborn looks interesting, but I didn't hear of any open beta or anything like it, plus $60 compared to $40 for Standard Overwatch that I already got to try out, yeah sorry but no. I kinda hope Battlefield 1 does the same thing so I can decide it'll be for me too.
According to Steam stats, there are already less players playing Battleborn than players playing Borderlands 2.
Battleborn looks interesting but I'm scared that once Overwatch is released it'll be ded
According to Steam stats, there are already less players playing Battleborn than players playing Borderlands 2.
Owwwwch. That sucks. The intro animation, the aesthetic, the character designs, the lack of garbage Anthony Burch, it looked like a solid choice between it and Overwatch. But I guess the Open Beta and the $40 tag beat it solid.
Whenever I look at Battleborn gameplay all I can see is that image of every game's UI on the same image. The one that has Navi from Zelda, the Deus Ex dialogue box, the Goldeneye health and armour bars. It just looks like they threw everything in and hoped it all worked together when it really doesn't.

I know I probably suck for saying this, but I actually thought a decent portion of Borderlands 2 writing was good.
