Have any of you ever resealed a tank? I just drug my 10 gallon out of the attic which during the summer gets pretty damn hot, currently considering upsizing my 5 gallon with a SunSun mini canister filter that's sitting on a 10 gallon stand up to a 10 gallon since it's too small for goldfish anyways. I filled it full of water in the shower and rinsed it out but it was made in like 2006 and I grabbed it from a garage sale for $10 when it was a couple years old. It's spent most of it's life, about the last 8 years in my attic. I heard once from someone long long ago to let it sit for a week, drop a milk jug of water into it then let it sit for another week and if it explodes or leaked, it was bad. But all I can really think of that that dropping a massive heavy object into it would do is make a flimsy tank explode lmao. I'd consider just buying another but I'd probably just wait for the Petco sale since it's meant to be a budget setup. Should I even bother with it or just toss it?
Just fill it with water in a bathtub or outside and see if it leaks over a day.
I've only ever done partial reseals on the top rim above the water line

I'm still playing around with the light settings, I don't have many plants so I don't need to be super into it right now. My biggest concern is the obvious dead spot in the middle where there's no LEDs. PS. The day/night dimmer seems really cool. I can't wait to see it in action tonight. (I think the tank looks a lot better in person and the picture doesn't capture it's true look) Time to look into plants.

Hey man, that would look really slick with a bunch of different sized crypts. Would really compliment the brown-ish colour and woody look imo. But you would probably need to add root tabs. Are those fluval edges I see?
There are so many plants I don't know where to start or what to get. I want tall plants for the back, and nice medium and small ones for the front. And then something like baby tears in front of the log. Crypts seem cool. Maybe some large swords for the back, medium crypts for the middle. I'd like some red plants too. My plan is to have the plants on the sides and then ground cover in the middle.
