this just in - no one gives a fuck o.p. good luck with it, i once had a hamster but he died from overfeeding
D: It must have been an incredibly greedy bastard. Edit: I used to constantly fill up the food tray with food. My hamster died of exposure because I was too stupid to use to the internet at that time. :downs: I mention this because the internet has given me invaluable information on keeping aquarium fish, if only I had this when the hamsters were around. :(
then why reply to my post, it didn't concern you
you get paid to kill them o.p. found it in his basement and has feelings for critters let him enjoy the time in which he has the mouse
Aww so cute :D
you get paid to kill them o.p. found it in his basement and has feelings for critters let him enjoy the time in which he has the mouse
i agree, things got offtopic when i was arguing with him, but i think it will suffer if it's kept as a prisoner and it might not know how to act in the nature if/when it escapes or is released if it's held long enough
i don't think o.p. will release him knowing the consequences on the animal but as long as he takes care of it properly, it should be fine
use loreal to wash him, but gently and with luke warm water put the shampoo on your finger and just rub him down then let him play around in the sink (keep the water so he can still touch the bottom, then hold him for a while to get warm and dry
What if a snake goes through the pipes and snatches him :o
D'awwwwwwwww so cute
Junior doesn't like apples. I'm seeing if he'll eat Almonds and Sunflower seeds.
Junior doesn't like apples. I'm seeing if he'll eat Almonds and Sunflower seeds.
thank you for this thread
Keep it, it was living in your basement which is still your home, its probably used to the house already, letting it go would probably be like having a brick in the water, the brick will only drown
I got some hungry snakes who'd love it to death. Literally.
use it on a serious note, you might want to wash that he might be carring something, just as a precation
I want to put him in an old shoebox but he'll climb out the sides or chew through the box.
I didn't know glue traps can tear limbs off
I think releasing it is a lot better compared to locking the animal up in captivity for your own amusement. If you are really intent on taking away the animals life just have it health checked.
He's in a MUCH bigger container now, I'm just worried that he'll jump out the side, it's plastic and smooth, but I'm paranoid as hell.
:3::3::3::3::3:
Now I want a mouse. :( The only animal I ever found in my basement was a spider. I named him Henry and fed him ants.

He will NOT be that cute when he gets bigger. It would be best for you to buy a well-kept healthy one at a PetCo. or something, rather a wild rodent. But he is cute as fuck.
It's a wild mouse. I hope you used gloves. Anyway, the bottom of your shoe should work nicely.
you should kill it, it might be carrying plague. and burn the corpse.
You're kind of a douche.
You're kind of a douche.
Seriously, the thing could be carrying an infinite amount of disease. Kill it.
Holy shit that thing is small and cute.
I went from >:| to <:3 Thank you OP, for that heart warming mousery.
:3: Ok. This should help you. http://www.petco.com/caresheets/small%20animals/Mouse.pdf It's a care guide in pdf. Tells you everything you need.
I used to have a few baby mice when I still lived at home. Listen to that guide. It is fairly correct.
Are you dumb? Field mice don't get bigger. That mouse probably is an adult
Didn't read or look at much, so yup, im dumb :downs:
Yeah, that's an adult. It looks kinda like a pika. At least, I thought so. (Pika)
