omg the first 40 seconds...
guy: "can you prove that i'm driving?"
cop: "yes sir"
guy: "No i'm not, I'm traveling"
what.
edit: oh wow that got intense.
edit2: Oh I should definitely watch this entire video. 2nd guy just yelling help :v:
"you have to have his consent to arrest him" oh ok.
"CALL THE POLICE" "SIR WE ARE THE POLICE" im done.
did her brain stop developing when she was like 7 or something
like her reasoning is something you'd hear from a child who thinks their parents/teachers/whatever are unfair
sadly Tumblr is spreading so fast outside the internet
Sovereign citizens predate the Internet in its entirety.
If she's saying that she's not a US citizen, wouldn't this make her an illegal immigrant?
"Free inhabitants don't have any laws"
"Wouldn't that be anarchy?"
"No we're peaceful people"
*pops everyone's eardrums with screaming*
Can you also just imagine her reading about all this guff on the internet, and slowly but surely convincing herself that it's possible to simple be exempt from all laws ever, telling her close friends this, and probably spreading it on Facebook. Amazing
This lady is my school.

"Calm down."
;48345661']Not to mention that this is the articles of confederation which was superseded by the constitution. They're not legally binding, they aren't law.
They are literally just garbage. THe Articles of Confederation were seen as a massive mistake since there was no legal binding for states to collect taxes for a federal government, appoint representatives or follow a common law.

That poor window.
Freeman-on-the-land, Sovereign Citizen types are hilarious. Watching grown adults use this kid logic to justify this one weird trick that will make police officers hate them that they learned from a Youtube video is embarrassing.

I preferred the
"Am I under arrest?"
"Yes!"
Also when they were dragging the woman out of the car as she's begging for them to just give her the seatbelt violation ticket and they tell her that they would've if they'd just shown him their ID.
When she said "look at your laws" I so SO SO wanted him to say "I am the law"
Missed a chance there officer
What a saint this police officer was, holy shit. Kept his calm durning the entire thing.

Why the fuck does Australia have sovereign citizens?!
They don't but this guy fits into the 'people who think they can evade the law'-type category so its in the video.
I want to know what drugs she has in the bag.
I'm incredibly impressed how this officer handled the situation. Seen so many videos of Police being overly aggressive or trigger happy etc that it's been hard not to believe that all US cops were like that.
In this scenario it's just
"YOU'REAFUCKINGSONOFABITCHYOUDONTKNOWYOUROWNLAWS"
"calm down~"

The ending last video is great, it perfectly sums up what's wrong with these people
"All you had to do was give me your driver's license!"
I imagine if you ask them where they're born their arguments fall apart. I mean unless these people grew up being taught they're sov citizens then they surely know it's all bullshit.
I said this in the other thread, but why do they keep asking for a manager?? This isn't Wal-Mart!
I said this in the other thread, but why do they keep asking for a manager?? This isn't Wal-Mart!
Because they think the officers are breaking the law and the supervisor will side with them and let them go.
Good old "the customer is always right" mentality.
I said this in the other thread, but why do they keep asking for a manager?? This isn't Wal-Mart!
They literally believe that the USA has been taken over as a corporate-government environment where your natural rights have been traded away, but you can get them back by saying magic words that give you diplomatic immunity... by way of massively and wilfully misinterpreting the Uniform Commercial Code.
A post I wrote a few weeks back from another SovCit thread:
A reminder, this is what Sovereign Citizens actually believe:
All birth certificates, licenses, registrations, insurances, bank accounts, permits, titles, deeds, etc. are commercial contracts created under the UCC - (Uniform Commercial Code) and this is where the confusion begins. Most people do not know that commercial law cannot regulate private dealings between civilians much less where to draw the line.

The Uniform Commercial Code was adopted by all states in 1964 making it the supreme law of the land. Take a look in the first part of every Federal and State code books and you will the find the Uniform Commercial Code consistent throughout.

What's the remedy?
"The making of a valid Reservation of Rights preserves whatever rights the person then possesses, and prevents the loss of such rights by application of concepts of waiver or estoppel." (UCC 1-207.7)
It is important to remember when we go into a court, that we are in a commercial, international jurisdiction. If we go into court and say. "I DEMAND MY CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS!", the judge will most likely say, "You mention the Constitution again, and I'll find you in contempt of court!" Then we don't understand how he can do that. Hasn't he sworn to uphold the Constitution? The rule here is: you cannot be charged under one jurisdiction and defend yourself under another jurisdiction. For example, if the French government came to you and asked where you filed your French income tax of a certain year, do you go to the French government and say "I demand my Constitutional Rights?" No. The proper answer is: "THE LAW DOES NOT APPLY TO ME. I AM NOT A FRENCHMAN." You must make your reservation of rights under the jurisdiction in which you are charged, not under some other jurisdiction. So in a UCC court, you must claim your Reservation of Rights under UCC 1-207.

Without Prejudice UCC 1-207
When you use "without prejudice UCC 1-207" in connection with your signature, you are saying, "I reserve my right not to be compelled to perform under any contract or commercial agreement that I did not enter knowingly, voluntarily and intentionally. I do not accept the liability of the compelled benefit of any unrevealed contract or commercial agreement.”
UCC 1-207. Performance or acceptance under Reservation of Rights.
A party who, with explicit reservation of rights, performs or promises performance or assents to performance in a manner demanded or offered by the other party does not thereby prejudice the rights reserved. Such words as "WITHOUT PREJUDICE”,” UNDER PROTEST" or the like are sufficient.
Like this:
“WITHOUT PREJUDICE” UCC 1-207”
First-Middle:Last
TL;DR they think the Uniform Commercial Code (a subset of law relating to commerce, and COMPLETELY uninvolved with civil or criminal law against individual citizens) replaced the Constitution and they're living in some sort of corporate-owned nation where they can exempt themselves from whatever law they want except, say, murder, by simply saying a few magic words about how they do not consent to a contractual agreement to perform X task (where X is OBEYING THE FUCKING LAW), and then they have diplomatic immunity to it against the "corporate" entity that is trying to compel them to engage in "business".
Also, look closely at this:
“WITHOUT PREJUDICE” UCC 1-207”
First-Middle:Last
See what's happening there? Here's what they think actually works (and it gets them destroyed every single time):
"Oh, no, I'm not John Andrew Smith, I'm J'ohn-A'ndrew:SMITH. Completely different guy. I'm ignoring this court summons because it's not addressed to me."
Sovereign Citizens engage in magic realism to justify ignoring any law that interferes with what they want to do. It's a movement based on self-centered delusional anarchy and an uneducated paranoia of the authorities.
Freemen on the Land are even more insane, although the difference is hard to tell until you try and take them to court.
