OP's avatar fits perfectly.
Actually I stand to correct you. This IS a shit post.
I don't recall double jumping in ME.
That would hurt
The closest you'll get to double jumping in real life, pretty cool looking.
The power needed to "stomp" away from the air would be more efficiently used to just jump higher from the beginning. Air resistance just isn't enough. In a swimming pool is possible. OR you change the environmental factors (air resistance, buoyancy) OR somehow you manage to exert such a force on the air around you that you are able to 'swim' in it. Or you could somehow lower your weight...
jump crouch in air pretend you raising your feet in to a crouch position was a jump
Or extremely powerful airbags might work...
Throw a plank, jump on the plank before it hits the ground. Jump again. [editline]value[/editline] You need to do this off a ledge, on top of a tall building.
What a thoughtful, content-filled OP. :rolleye:
Turn phys_timescale to 0.4 and gravity to 200 and try.
I guess if you threw an object up and jumped on it while it was moving upward, you could bounce off of it in theory, though it'd only work once or twice before you lose your momentum. I'm not sure if it's actually possible though. [editline]28th October 2010[/editline] oh, everyone's answering to get funnies and not being serious uh pretend this is a joke then i guess :frown:
No, that wouldn't work. Gravity prevents it. The object would simply be propelled to the ground by your actions. It's basic physics silly. They sound like a bunch of 13 year old Canadians. Ehh....
Impossible in every way. (cept maybe rocket boosters or something) Even if you could you would still have the risk of crazy legs which you probably don't want.
the closest thing to double jumping is when a bird flaps its wings
No, that wouldn't work. Gravity prevents it. The object would simply be propelled to the ground by your actions. It's basic physics silly.
So if a huge block of concrete was in space, slowly falling to earth, and you'd stand on it, then you wouldn't be able to 'jump' off it and propel yourself into space (even for a very small instance)? :downs:
try to do it over a canyon and see what happens bud
k bud bud bud bud
1) Jump once. 2)As soon as you hit the ground, jump again. 3) Repeat 1 And 2
Its times like these i wish i had the Tony Hawk cheat menu
Physics Answer!!! A body in motion has a property called momentum. It is defined as mass * velocity. It is because of momentum that, for instance if a prius frontal collides with a tank, both vehicles moving at the same velocity, the tank will continue forward, just at a slightly lower speed. Here applies newtons third law. It can be viewed as the momentum that each object has when a collision occurs will be distributed according to the objects relative mass. So, can you jump by stepping on leafs? Yes, though they would have to be travelling at an insanely great velocity upward for them to act as temporary platforms.
