It's a problem with anything Lucas writes or directs. Hence why Empire Strikes Back is the best of the whole bunch.

God dammit, everyone stop hating on AOTC. I love it too much to see any faults.

But what I see as it is is a movie that makes my heart wail with joy.

I liked the Prequels when I was younger, but then I grew up and realized what piles of shit they really are.

I read somewhere that someone liked the Romantic Dialogue because it was "realistic" because it was awkward like it would be in real life, and not the hammed up hollywood style

Seriously did he even watch that scene at the fireplace? That wasn't realistic dialogue. It was terrible. It wasn't awkward because it was "realistic and not hammed up" it was awkward because the acting was wooden. I think the problem with GL's "romantic dialogue" in AOTC is that he made Anakin still seem like a little boy. It's been ten years since Qui-Gon's death, Anakin has grown into a man, with a complete set of testicles and not-stupid hair (Jake Lloyd should have had his haircut from [i]Jingle All The Way[/i] IMO, it would make the two actors connect better). Let him get loose with the woman for Christ's sake!

It makes sense that Anakin isn't a womanizer, because Jedi aren't allowed to romance.
