~hardcore~ but I don't want to hear any more about Ashoka after wasting my life on that clone wars movie. I also read Dark Empire and now that I look back on it it was laughably silly, probably sillier than Legacy, you could not contradict the entire original trilogy if you tried. Oh wait, no Lucas already did that and even contradicted exposition given about the clone wars in Dark Empire, let me explain. When Luke and R2 are on the prison ship Luke says that it's an Imperial Dungeon Ship, they were used to transport Jedi Knights during the Clone Wars, this means that the empire should have been around during the clone wars and they were the enemy, and the clones were not the kiwi motherfuckers that we know today.
The Only thing good we got from the Prequels was Droideka's, Yoda and Samuel L Jackson ripping out shit, Darth Maul and a crazy 4 armed russian cyborg. On a related note why the hell does Lucas piss off fans by redoing lame canon, the orginial CN clone wars cartoon was ten times more awesome and fitted into canon...and don't get me started on Lucas ignoring KOTR 2 aspect and theme

Can I say that the current Clone Wars series is actually pretty good to some degree? Like the action is pretty good as well some the stories in each episode and the near complete absence of Jar Jar.
is the Clone Wars decent? It's still getting some pretty fair reviews but being that it's on cartoon network I'm never actually home in time to watch it. Nevertheless, the blu-ray digibook (the fancier edition? i don't know) for season one was on sale on amazon for like half price so i ordered it and it should be arriving any minute OBOYOBOYOBOYOBOYOBOYOBOY [editline]16th January 2012[/editline]
Can I say that the current Clone Wars series is actually pretty good to some degree? Anakin becomes corrupted by Palpatine, a sith lord, and in turn uses his army (the clones, remember), to rid the universe of Jedi. Whether or not the clones from the Clone War era are the same as the storm troopers from the original trilogy is a fairly large debate and it's hard to really say otherwise what with not ever really seeing their faces aside for the commanders and whatnot. It could be as simple as that kind of CGI tech not being around at the time (and it wasn't). Of course I've only read about 2 or 3 of the books, which have been dismissed as not being entirely canonical to begin with. [editline]16th January 2012[/editline]
Maybe KOTOR 2 would have had enough influence over all of Star Wars if Lucasarts hadn't dropped the ball so bad there and then had TOR made.
comparing KOTOR and TOR is literally like comparing Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XI. They bare a similar name, but they're totally different, so don't compare them. [editline]16th January 2012[/editline] also KOTOR 2 was amazing so don't even go there [editline]16th January 2012[/editline]
The Only thing good we got from the Prequels was Droideka's, Yoda and Samuel L Jackson ripping out shit, Darth Maul and a crazy 4 armed russian cyborg. A lot of the games actually don't have any canon taken seriously in the film saga. Almost all of them, actually.
Hey, hey I think KOTOR 2 is amazing as well.
The only games that have canon are Shadows of the Empire (moreso the book than the game) and The Force Unleashed.
M_B I suggest you watch the series it's not as bad as people think, seriously
I was looking at Wookiepedia and I saw that TFU2's story actually makes sense, if only they game taken the time to explain the "Dark Apprentice" it would have set up the inevitable TFU3 quite nicely with The Dark Apprentice going after the Marek clone.

Unless, you haven't seen the OT in theaters? I never saw the theatrical releases, but I saw the Special Edition back in '97.
I'm sorry if I'm bringing this up again, I'm not gonna read the whole thread but apparently, you've been talking about how bad the prequels are for quite some time So, what exactly is bad with them? Poor acting? Poor writing? Too much Jar Jar Binks? Or is it all of the above?

If you can get over the dark humor of it, they make excellent points.
ill never understand why yoda has to be a full-on fighter in episodes 2 and 3 it just doesnt fit him, hes already "badass" in his own wise way
because the new episodes were probably aimed at younger people, who don't think he's badass enough by being wise
ill never understand why yoda has to be a full-on fighter in episodes 2 and 3 it just doesnt fit him, hes already "badass" in his own wise way
Pretty sure it was to show off his Jedi Masterness other than moving some objects
except tfu3 has been cancelled.
Oh damn, well no wonder since TFU2 was handled in such an odd way.
The only games that have canon are Shadows of the Empire (moreso the book than the game) and The Force Unleashed.
Every game story is Canon (games with multiple choices, Light side is most of the time the canon ending) . Books based on the games I believe are more Canon, and Movie canon is higher then that. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Canon Games that allow you to customize your character are confusing, until another game/novel/comic/source book comes out that portrays that character again there is no straight canon of what their gender or race is. Jaden (the character you play as in JKA) is in canon a Male Human because he was portrayed as such in later media. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jaden_Korr#Character_customization
Proving that todays generation is stupid for finding this entertaining and that George Lucas is stupid for writing it and greedy for selling out so easily.
It wasn't even that bad. [editline]18th January 2012[/editline] Yoda becoming the best fighter ever, that is

If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.
But then obi wan just becomes a ghost. I dunno if it was obi wan bluffing and he just gets massively called out on it by vader, or if he just meant becoming part of the force (where he can't actually influence events, besides occasionally appearing to luke, but that too could just be luke hallucinating off midichlorians or some shit)

I know i posted this in the "George Lucas "Retiring" From Big Film" in the Sensationalist Headlines subforums, but.... ....ummmm, how did he get behind those rocks? Seriously George, how do you not expect us to give you shit when you make alterations that causes logic problems within your own movie.
