My biggest problem with the prequels is how sterile and lifeless they feel, because of the constant CGI (more in ep2 and 3) and the lousy writing. The actor's couldn't do the characters justice because they were lazily written. I prefer the original trilogy because of its firm foundation in reality(real set locations and little to no CGI) and better written characters (more focused and relatable motives).
I think george lucas was afforded too much control in the prequels, where he wasn't afforded as much with the original trilogy (in fact A New Hope was described by the editors and some test audiences as pretty dry and boring before they got their hands on it, complaints that were leveled at the prequels)
So the Yuzhan Vong are the stupidest thing ever (I don't care what you say, they are) and I'm really happy that they're making an original story.
there's so much shit that isn't really dumb inbetween YV and RotJ but yeah YV are the worst things ever
Currently my biggest concern with Star Wars is 1313 and how they're gonna handle The Clone Wars once it moves to Disney XD. I mean are they going to keep it same or are they going to dumb down everything and completely screw it up?
People give Disney way too little credit when saying stuff like Star Wars will be dumbed down for children. A lot of folks still see Disney as some 'For Kids' company that only makes 'Princess movies' and what not
they've already said that they plan to leave everything the same, they're just slapping the disney logo on all future shit from now on. sure, disney will make some of their own shows and clone wars will start playing on disney channel as well, but that show will finish how it's supposed to, everything after that is all disney's shit.
Oh god wait this means no more 20th century fox theme before the movies that's just just wrong
This is cooler, no?

(You can hear him make a slight scream before the scene cuts) I could go on and on but a prime example is Fucking Black Cauldron

Also, as other sites have mentioned, he's a "Star Wars expert"

Some people have said Lucas doesn't care about the EU.. but look at Clone Wars, bunch of EU references, hell he signed off on Revan from KOTOR appearing on the show, but in the end the scene got cut. Hes one of the Executive Producers. Hell! Coruscant is an EU invention, created by Timothy Zahn.

That had nothing to do what I was talking about.
That had nothing to do what I was talking about.
Wasn't the start of your post involving Lucas caring for EU? That was the part I was referring too.
eu is non-canon anyway, and will continue to be. disney is going to do 7-9, possibly 10-12 (doubt it) and then either more original shit or just EU adaptations.
Be in-line with this

A lot of conflicting statements but Deadline now says that Disney plans to generate a film every other year starting in 2015
Deadline's also saying that maybe Lawrence Kasdan (the guy who wrote Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi) might be doing one of the sequels, although there's no confirmation on that.
Seems like they're trying to get everyone connected to the original trilogy.
