I think he meant he wasn't as good looking as puppet now as then.
As much as I fucking hate most of the changes George Lucas has made, to be fair, he's made some good changes in the past, my favorite being the 1997 change in "A New Hope" when Han Solo is running down the hallway after two storm troopers until he reaches the end and screams because there's about 50 storm troopers all pointing their blasters at him. That was funny and in my opinion, better than the original. (in the original, it's just the same two storm troopers.) That and the CGI Yoda in The Phantom Menace. It just looks a lot better than the puppet Yoda from the original cut which, even back in 1999, looked a bit worn out and didn't look as good as it did back in 1980 upon Empire's release.
It was 6 (there's one behind the one being shot). The sequence worked better back then than now imo. Why didn't literally the entire hangar of them pursue Han? 5 guns in your face is still scary.
Funny enough, you can see the reflection of the pipes in the floor in the altered scene. Also, the stormtroopers from the original scene are a different shade than the rest in the hangar. Yay for mistakes!
Ever since I saw the Plinkett reviews it occured to me that Anakin is actually supposed to be Darth Vader. I don't mean from a story perspective, everybody knows that, but that they're actually supposed to be the same, yet they're nothing alike. I just can't imagine him becoming Darth Vader. Young Vader should be like young Don Corleone in the Godfather 2. God I wish the prequels were different. In all aspects.
Young Vader should be like young Don Corleone in the Godfather 2.
Now you're speaking my language... Except Al Pacino became 10 times more evil than Marlon Brando. Compared to the original Vader, the prequel one was a light-hearted sod in all of them. Just because he does this with his eyes: doesn't make him Darth Vader.
No. This should have been Darth Vader in the prequels.
So my sister asked me the other day why Biggs, an old friend of Luke's, has to die while Wedge, some random rebel pilot, lives. My answer: Biggs is the last link Luke has to his old life as a farmboy on Tatooine, while Wedge represents Luke's new life as a member of the Rebellion. Thus, Biggs' death is representative of Luke's transition from a boy to a man.

Hell Biggs was such a minor character anyways thanks to most of his scenes being cut out of the original, and Wedge gets to be a really important character in the EU. Sorry I just dislike people reading into things (one reason why I really hate English majors / teachers / The Catcher in the Rye)
I just watched the first 3 episodes of the new Clone Wars series, and it wasn't that bad. Less, 'Childrenly' then it used to be. You actually see people with faces die, not just clones or Droids. (heck a couple people got physical impaled last season on screen, this was diffidently not for younger kids) Hell, you see 3 people explode into smokey meat chunks, and a decapitated head float close by in front of the screen in a close up. Its matured since the first season/movie.
Sorry I just dislike people reading into things (one reason why I really hate English majors / teachers / The Catcher in the Rye)
are you 12
are you 12
Yes most definitely. Clearly you can see that the entire Star Wars universe has a very pro-life message.
Yes most definitely. Clearly you can see that the entire Star Wars universe has a very pro-life message.
clearly you have no idea what you're talking about
if you mean the first three episodes of season one, you're in for some disappointment.
I was talking about the first three episodes of Season 4. (the new season) I was spending too much time around the Doctor Who thread, I said 'series' instead of 'season' The Clone Wars has gotten better since Season 3 IMO. Some dark shit there.
clearly you have no idea what you're talking about
I have a PhD in Ebonics that qualifies me to know everything about everything, dog Ever think that maybe Biggs died just because? That there was no deep metaphor behind it?
I have a PhD in Ebonics that qualifies me to know everything about everything, dog Ever think that maybe Biggs died just because? That there was no deep metaphor behind it?
if you think that Biggs' death serving as a symbol of Luke's transformation is some sort of "omg 2 deep 4 u" metaphor then i'd be astonished if you made it past the 9th grade and fuck no he didn't die "just because", that's not how fucking writing works ever

"SHUT THE FUCK UP, young Skywalker."
Dude, what.
Belgian humor.
Anyone else think this should have been the official RotS poster and DVD cover? http://awesomeness123456.webs.com/ep3-poster25.jpg
nah i like the drawn look better [editline]1st October 2011[/editline] personally
Right, well what if that poster had the drawn look to it?
If Biggs death was supposed to be important, Luke would have cared
Anyone else think this should have been the official RotS poster and DVD cover? http://awesomeness123456.webs.com/ep3-poster25.jpg
It's cool but at the same time I kind of hate that picture of Darth Vader. The Darth Vader suit in RotS was just too muscular and active.
I take back what I said about the Clone Wars, the Gungans just captured General Grievous. What the hell. Also, Jar Jar was the one who amde it happened, his distracted Grevious long enough for one of the Gungan generals to disable the Droid platoon guarding him. Mine you, it was like 30 Gungans Vs him and they had those Blue ball things from The Phantom Menace. You really need to see the episode to understand it. [editline]2nd October 2011[/editline] Wow, and now Padme in her ultimate Wisdom traded Grievous for Anakin
How could they apprehend Grievous anyway? He was pretty much designed to be an unstoppable killing machine.
How could they apprehend Grievous anyway? He was pretty much designed to be an unstoppable killing machine.
The Gungans gave General Grievous blue balls. That's how.
gungans were a terrible addition to be honest
Has anyone seen the deleted footage from the Bluray release (original trilogy only)? Anything cool or interesting?
They're all over Youtube
