Thanks man. As in hard to get to sleep because of caffine or noise?
It was an older model, and every 15 minutes, it would start cooling down again, accompanied by the corresponding noise. God, just thinking of it...
I have no idea what the poster's for, but I love Herve Morvan
That doesn't look quite rasterbated either. How do you do it, just enlarge the image to several pages manually or choose a microscopic dot size?
Arg! I thought I had doubleposted so I deleted it ... but I hadn't. Ah well, re-writing... Get fairly large images around 1000x1000 pixels, I got this one:

it's like 1300x2100 or something so I didn't bother scaling upwards. However, if you have a really small image, then you can increase the canvas size in an image editing program, the big image will be blurry so you have to trace over it. But that's a lot of effort and it's easier to just find a big image to start off. You can try and find a bigger version of your existing image using http://www.tineye.com/ or just filter it to large images in google image search. I had to tweak the colours and clone tool out some cracks and stuff because the biggest image of the poster I could find (above) had messed up colours compared to the image in my Herve morvan book. Like a dumbass I didn't read the OP properly, I did this all and had to reduce the filesize to under 1MB and put it in JPEG format because I used http://www.blockposters.com/ so if you use the second link in the OP you can upload a file without size and resolution limits... if you're using the dotty system you can just try and save your file as a fairly high quality JPEG (sorry I don't know how to do this other than in photoshop, you can tweak the settings by saving for web and devices). So I uploaded this:

and checked the pdf to see how bad the pixellation and such was, it wasn't bad at all in this case so I printed it out and stuff.
That's a nice room Ajacks
dunno if its been posted already but i would def do this http://covers.a-go.in/max/neutral_milk_hotel_-_1998_in_the_aeroplane_over_the_sea.jpg
I wonder how this would look rasterbated [thumb]http://filepak.com/8/4_Chell.jpg[/thumb] As long as you cut off all the extra on the left
It turned out pretty nice even though it eats a lot of ink.
I wonder how this would look rasterbated [thumb]http://filepak.com/8/4_Chell.jpg[/thumb] As long as you cut off all the extra on the left
I can rasterbate to this..
I want something to Rasterbate. It'll be about 4 tall and 5 wide, in portrait form. Something like a cityscape maybe? It'll be printed in black and white
-pointless, overly detailed explanation- http://www.blockposters.com/
That link needs to be added to the OP; I was looking for an easy way to upscale pictures without getting the rasterized effect. [editline]25th July 2011[/editline] Aha.
What? Also, I did this with my friend. He wanted it. That's him in the picture [t]http://i.imgur.com/NGnUL.jpg[/t]
Trying this with one of my own photos. Fuck you , printer boarders Just need to sort out the edges a bit.
Here's one I did in January. I didn't cut off the edges, because when it's flat, it's rather lovely. (It isn't flat right now because there's a draft going through my room :v:)
I added highlighter ink to my poster as cheap blacklight paint - I removed the ink tube from a highlighter and applied the ink to the poster both by splattering and smudged on with a paper towel.
Havnt even heard about this until now, looks awesome and i dont even own a printer!
The lines aren't so visible in real, my flash had a funky effect :v: It's Regina Spektor, one of my favourite solo artists. [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/ratts.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/dots.jpg[/thumb]
So I tried to do a 5x5 of Dark Side of the Moon, and it got half way through before my entire (nearly full) cartridge of black ink was drained. So happy right now. It's around $50 for a new cartridge.
I don't get why there still are people not using copy shops for this stuff.
I don't get why there still are people not using copy shops for this stuff.
I live in the middle of nowhere :v:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/GTTbL.jpg[/t] I did it! Screwed up on the spacing at the bottom left though. edit: The picture is flipped for some reason though. Pretend the edge of the Team Fortress 2 poster is the left of the picture
At least you're open about it.
I might do a six foot pedobear on the back of my door.
I have a donation.
Anyone got an extremely high-res Portal 2 picture?
Assuming you're using the ink saving method, don't worry about high-res. [editline]27th August 2011[/editline] Library only charges 10c per page for black and white pages, and they don't check what you print. My God what fun I will have.
[img_thumb]http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2011/239/9/e/barney_calhoun_poster_by_evil_policeman-d48210r.png[/img_thumb] http://evil-policeman.deviantart.com/gallery/?catpath=scraps#/d48210r Posed in Blender, put through the rasterbation program in various sizes. Sent to my friend who then printed out the small version, I will post results when she finishes putting it together.
