Methinks it would be better to have several small regional camping trips, instead of one large one. North America is three times the size of Europe, and it is far less practical to travel massive distances.
Three times the size? I'd hardly say two. Count Greenland in, and we're larger.
Back on topic: There's a point in your post though. Considering the massive distance from east to west, North America sure is a hard a place to settle on a single location. British Columbia seems to have quite a few people ready, so that may be a starting point. Maybe outside Vancouver?
Halifax, NS!
Hurr, East Coast Canada!
Florida has a pretty good amount of people in it. Would any of you be up for a camping trip at either Fort De Soto state park or Sebastian Inlet?
I love camping at beaches.
Illinois..........................
I can take you all to Camden or Newark and we can do facepunch survival

There's this excellent campsite in southern California called Lake Silverwood. I go there every summer, and there's almost always great California weather. The campgrounds are in kind of cul-de-sacs, so maybe if enough people committed money we could rent out a few adjacent campgrounds in the same loop, as all of the campgrounds in the same loop are connected. The only real problem I could think of there being is parking space, as there is not much. There are lots near the campgrounds, but they are pretty small. Other than that, the place would be perfect. You can take a 2 minute drive to lake Silverwood and fish/hike/swim/kayak on the beaches. There's a snack bar there too, so if people need to restock on food they can buy some there.
Overall, Silverwood would be an excellent place to camp for anyone living in the western US or people willing to travel there.
Also here's a link to a site that gives you some information on the area: http://www.rockymountainrec.com/lakes/lake-silverwood.htm
And here's a link to the official website: http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=650
I would love to see a Camp Facepunch take place somewhere in California, especially at a great campground like Lake Silverwood.
I'd honestly think Washington State, Oregon or British Columbia would be the best options from what I am seeing on this thread.
South Jersey here. I'm down for meeting up with some strangers over the internet in the woods.

Don't forget to add your username. it's your location, not where you think it should be.

This is cool, should be in the OP.
I live in Florida as do many other FP users though I'm pretty sure none of them live near me (I live in Tallahassee)
I suggest somewhere in Northern Florida, it's pretty good for camping round here.
Though there's no way in HELL I'd ever go camping with any of you people
Ha, couldn't agree more, and I'm in the same situation.
Wisconsin has a lot of awesome state parks.
new england would be cool
I second this.
Thing is though, North America, compared to England, is massive. Wouldn't work out as well as the original Camp Facepunch.
Bring it near Northern California and maybe I'll be able to come.
I'm pretty stuck on the B.C thing. Sumap has a great set up.
Map updated. Phew, you guys are keeping me busy! Don't worry, I didn't forget.
I added the Google Maps thing to OP. Had a bit of trouble figuring it out though... Looks useful though!
Currently, a Northwest meet-up looks the most plausible. With 12 people in 3 states and with two of those adjacent to BC, it's easy to see that a BC meet-up (Or Washington to be closer to Cali) would be good.
Anywhere else seems wary right now because everyone is so spread out, that people unable to travel more than a State or Two likely wouldn't be able to go.
