These debates feel pretty pointless, each side just reinforces there own beliefs and nothing changes.
I enjoy the narrator's sense of humor J-Dude, but why all the tits? Click bait or just he just like them in his videos?
Actually, to be fair... it DOES seem to have worked.
These debates feel pretty pointless, each side just reinforces there own beliefs and nothing changes.
That's all debates are. The point of a debate is to you make think of what is said so you can then later come to your conclusion of what you believe to be correct.

"Bill, there is a book out there." Shut the fuck up and just debate. We get it. There is a book that is thousands of years old, has been written and re-written countless times and has been translated as many times as needed. Now explain to us how that book is a viable explanation for the origins of man and stop trying to advertise it.

I love Bill Nye in this debate. He's just as I pictured him, making awkward and terrible jokes that only someone like me would enjoy. Even though I'm #TeamNye, Ken Ham is a brilliant speaker.
except for when he goes in to Bible Mode Overdrive
Say what you will, he's excellent at speaking, and even makes nonsense sound reasonable.
I bet the Bible is completely fucking different from when it was first finished.
It is. Firstly, there were books that were rejected from being in the Bible so there's that right out of the gate. Secondly, its been rewritten by different people numerous times throughout history. Thirdly, shit gets lost in translation all the time, so I guarantee there's stuff missing or changed from that. And lastly, it's also varied depending on the denomination, so they can't even follow the basic book.
Even though I'm #TeamNye, Ken Ham is a brilliant speaker.
He really isn't though. He's alright but by no means brilliant. He read all of his slides word for word, he fumbled and stuttered non-stop and he kept rehashing previous points and couldn't properly answer any questions. Like i said, he's not bad, but he's not brilliant.
Say what you will, he's excellent at speaking, and even makes nonsense sound reasonable.
That's very subjective. I thought it sounded very cringy.
This is why I don't like Religion.. we get characters like Ken Ham that try to halt the progress of mankind
i don't know how some people can stand and talk for three hours.
He just dodges or rejects questions constantly. Fackin annoying. "If it doesn't fit in my biblical world view I won't accept if even adress it"
Say what you will, he's excellent at speaking, and even makes nonsense sound reasonable.
and that's dangerous
I love how one of the questions for Ken Ham was "Could anything change your mind?" and his answer was simply put "No". What the hell is even the point of this? If ABSOLUTELY NOTHING can change your mind, why the fuck are you even arguing?
This guy made a fairly good point about it: It's pretty much a publicity stunt. Ken Ham never intended to have a debate, he intended to put on a show and get publicity for it.
Whoa hold up you're telling me that creationists believe that dinosaurs lived 6000 years ago or didn't exist?
Say what you will, he's excellent at speaking, and even makes nonsense sound reasonable.
Non-Cockney British accents or accents similar to British accents (such as Australian accents) cause the illusion of refinement and intelligence for us Americans, especially coming from older people, just due to stereotypes in our media. Not sure whether it is that way in other countries.
It's pretty much a publicity stunt. Ken Ham never intended to have a debate, he intended to put on a show and get publicity for it.
He made a fool of himself and lost the debate he started horribly, barely able to make any point of his own. It'll be negative publicity.
