Not if you have a good reason why you enjoy the meme subculture. It is funny stuff, and these small things that other people don't get makes you laugh. Also you also build a strong community of people who like the same stuff as you. In fact, I guarantee that 99% of the people outside this thread won't even cast a chuckle whenever they see any of the pics/comments/videos here unless they watch MLPFIM, in addition to all these other shows/films, like King of the Hill, The Room, 300, DBZ, etc. When you narrow it down, it is a pretty small number compared to the rest of the population of the earth, or even the US. The fact that you're able to laugh to something that someone else also laughs to in this community indicates that you two are more likely to be the best of friends than in any other community. It just feels to be good to be part of that brotherhood.

Basically, just say you watch it because Friendship is Metal.
