Well shit there goes that zinger then.
Yo thread! I have a little formatting question. If I'm messing with typography in a logo, and I want to bold just the main word in the title, like this:

Can I do it like that, or should I bold the prefixes too, or is it not a big deal? (I know the niqqud are all shitted up, Photoshop is being a dingus)
No native Hebrew speaker ever uses Niqqud. Like ever. Not even in books. Just don't bother, really.
As for the prefix, I need to know more about the context of your bolding before I can tell you what to do.
If you want it as: "Stories from the Galactepeticon", leave it as it is. If you want read as "Stories, from the Galactepeticon" Bold the prefix too.
Thanks! I know niqqud aren't really used, I'm gonna keep them on Galactopticon though since it's a made up word.

Doesn't help, I cant read niqqud properly anyway :v:
I don't think most of the people I know can either. We just get used to remembering what words mean and sound like.

Also, if you're not using niqqud, you're better off writing-
ספורים
As-
סיפורים
Because in a different context, it's really easy to get confused between "Stories" and "Counted".
AH FIKSHED IT

Well, at least they look pretty :v:
What is this logo for ?

It's actually very nostalgic to me. Most children's/teenager oriented books are often accompanied by niqqud.

דרך אגב, מישהו פה צם?
What is this logo for ?
A comic I'm making: http://comic.galactopticon.net/
Once I have enough of a grammatical foundation in Hebrew I'm gonna try and do a translated version of it for fun & to help me build a vocabulary. :)
לא. אתה צם? ללא נוזלים ומזון ?

Looks brilliant! You've been drawing this, yourself n all?

The reason I was waiting for the translation was because it's going to be hilarious
Even if your translation is 100% gramatically correct, it still sounds like it was written by someone who time-traveled from the 1930's
The best English equivalent I can think of is this-

אני די בטוח שהוא התכוון לשפכה בתור צינור שופכה.

Haha yeah I've actually read webcomics written by Europeans that've been roughly translated into English and they're usually pretty funny
Maybe I'll run the drafts by you guys first :v

It can.
Here's something you probably don't realize about native Hebrew speakers- We don't have anything between "oh" (like "oh god") and "oo" (like "Google"). "Augh" just doesn't exist over here.

Even better.

Or maybe don't, and let it be hilarious.
