You know. If a doomsday actually comes and we do have some time before everyones wiped off the face of the earth, I would just enjoy it, I would go outside and walk around my town in euphoria, and I'd go up on Signal Hill that overlooks my town (St.John) pop open a bottle of water and just watch it all slip away.
I have a feeling that if doomsday was definite the amount of religion practicing people would increase 10 fold.
Um .. where did this may 21 bs came from? o_o.
My avatar.

Something about math from the bible I think
-4990+7000=2010
Pretty sure it doesn't equal 2011.
Actually, they're right. There was no year 0.
Edit: Wait, does that mean you add a year or take one off? I need sleep.
It's gonna feel GOOOOD when nothing happens in the moment of their disillusionment. But the poor kids... Let's hope that child services come and take them so they have a chance at finding better parents.
Indeed. I feel sorry for the kid that hasn't even been born yet. They've specifically budgeted so that they'll be broke a month before s/he'll be born.
Hell is eternal seperation from God, and therefore from all things good, including free will, intelligence, and the ability to not feel pain constantly. I think that sounds worse than turning into a "boom-box for Jesus songs." The bible doesn't say you forget everyone and everything. I think, Analrapist, you're either mixing your facts up, or else you're "projecting so hard you could point yourself at a wall and show off Powerpoint presentations."
[editline]9th May 2011[/editline]
Also, speaking as a christian, this entire thing is just stupid, especially when you consider numerous things in the Bible that tells you not to predict things like this.
Isaiah 65:17 “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind.”

Seriously though, I feel bad the kids are caught up in this. It's one thing to be loony on your own but to have kids and involve your own children in your own loony ways, that's something else.
I was walking down a street about a month ago and saw a large poster board sign in someone's window that read "The end is near!". The door was blocked off and other windows were boarded as well. The next week is going to be really funny for me since my city has the highest church per capita rate.
You have to admit, you will have a tiny ( I mean nanoscopic) bit of fear when you go to bed ion <insert generic doomsday date here> right?

That's not funny...
OP's Username suits the title of the thread?
Atleast I get to celebrate my birthday a day before that. Then I have an airsoft outing the next day. Airsoft during the ending world, hmm :woop:
(I don't actually believe it I'm being sarcastic)
If the world really ends on May 21st then I'm turning 23 with a blast :v:
P.S: I'm getting pissed drunk
xxncxx - your bday is on may 20 too? :D
I know this is really what-if. But you guys would feel dumb if it actually happened. There is no proof that the world will not end, and there is no physical proof it will. But the chances are it wont, let the people who believe it ruin their lives.
I don't think I'd feel dumb. Either shocked or blinding pain, really. And, along those lines, there is no proof that the world won't end tomorrow or today or right this second. It's just a bunch of hype. I agree, though. Let them think what they want.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
I don't even feel bad for them. Hahahahaha.
I saw these guys when I went to New York, and I took a pamphlet. There was a guy on the Manhattan end of the Brooklyn bridge handing them out. Pretty hilarious stuff.

That doesn't mean you forget everything. It means that you won't remember certain things. It's not clear on what.
I really can't give two shit about what happens to the adults who believe in this crap. Quit your job, sell your home, abandon your family and friends, and give away all your possesions. Fine with me. Your old enough to make decisions on your own. But when your dragging kids, not even old enough to walk, into your cults affairs then you deserve to have your children taken for their saftey and you should not be allowed to go on welfare due to your own stupidity.

Are you joking....?
Not that it'll do anyone, least of all you, any good, because when/if the rapture happens, then everything else will too. Ever read Revelations?
What isn't there can't hurt us.
What isn't there can't hurt us.
The darkness that surrounds us can't hurt us.
It's the darkness in the heart of our souls that turn us into murderers.
Edit:
I can't tell you guys everything I know without compromising myself, but any idea that the "apocalypse" is about to happen is designed to put fear into people. I can't tell you why, but you should all remain calm.
Strong emotions such as fear draw you deeper into our 3-dimensional physical universe. And you don't want to be there when the time comes, unless you feel like waiting out another 5,125 years for the next galactic alignment.
BUT this is for the 2012 galactic alignment. 2012, as told by the Mayan calender, but that's not the calender we use today. That means our 2012 might not be their 2012 at all. The real 2012 could have already happen, or is still about to.
Evidence shows the real 2012 has already passed. It was during the year 2000, and the duration was anything between a day and a few months. Man I wish I would have "died" on April 3rd, 2000. I'd be in a better place right now.
My personal opinion on why our calender has the year 2000 as the Mayan calender year 2012 is because everyone was going to party the fuck out for the year 2000. And you're not in a pure state of being when you're intoxicated or involved in materialistic shit or everyday problems you have on planet Earth.

That isn't my point. You said that if the rapture happened the global IQ would go up in your oh-so-witty remarks. What you fail to realize that if the rapture happens, then everything else detailed in Revelations will, too. Antichrist, the judgement, ect, ect.
The darkness that surrounds us can't hurt us.
It's mental instability that turn us into murderers.
