He was flashing his highbeams because there was a killer in the backseat, and he was trying to warn you. You owe him more than you think.
Can someone remind me what the name of that creepypasta was again? I forgot what it was called. I want to read it again. Never mind.
Nah, buddy, I'm a fellow Californian. Oregonians and Washingtonians don't like us because we buy property there and raise the value, making it harder for them to afford houses. :smug:
That too, of course. We need our third vacation house somewhere.
Sometimes around here the people in front of you will tap there brakes 2 or 3 times to signal a cop.
In my area, getting brights means your car is fucked up(broken taillight, etc.), you have your brights on, or they just hate you. Nice for the stranger to do that though, probably a local or one of those cop detector things.
OH NO IT'S THE GREY FOX KILL HIM! *pulls off mask* Oh... You're fine. I seriously can't be the only person who though of Oblivion's Grey Fox quests... But anyway, that's cool.
Yeah, there's a little of the highbeam flashing in my part of AZ. It hasn't helped me for speed cameras though, haha.
Not really thread worthy since people do this kind of thing all the time, or at least around here.
God damn police.
God damn police.
This thread isn't meant to bash the police doing their job, but to praise the man that saved me a ticket. Funny, how we despise police for doing their job, and praise those who help others break the law.
This happens in the UK sometimes, when there is a mobile police unit on the side of the road, watching your speed.
I don't get it :saddowns:
California sucks, I used to live there. Then I moved to Washington, where the grass is green, birds fly, the sun shines.. And brother, I fucking hurt people. wait...
When someone flashes their lights at you it means "cop behind me".

And this, is why I hate living in Washington.
Happens all the time in the UK.
in bulgaria , if you see a driver flicking his lights on and off , that means that there are cops up ahead :downs:
Doesn't happen in my neck of the woods (UK).
On the subject of unselfishly nice people, a few years back my cat was run over on the road next to my house. Now, instead of driving off like most assholes would, this man pulled over and told us while offering his sincerest apologies. A few days later we received a card in the mail with $50 attached to it to get a new cat. All this when he could have simply kept going.
We do this all the time. It's a small town though, and nobody here likes the cops.
Always do it. It's also illegal to do :v:.
Something like this happened a fews years ago while my family was going on a trip to montana. We were going about 85 mph on the highway (which was pretty much empty) when a trucker caught up to us and rolled down his window, still at 85 mph. He told us there was a speed trap ahead, and so my mom thanked him and slowed down.
Mysterious Strangers: Now in car form!
The only way for me to warn someone would be via CB since my highbeams are blinding. Nobody has CB radios anymore, so it's fairly useless in that regard. Although truckers always seem to like calling out where the CHP speedtraps are just to take the piss, so that's kind of cool.
This happens a lot in The Netherlands when those faggots are prowling for tickets with their lasers.
When i read the title i thought of some random guy shooting a cop in the head and you speeding off
Heartwarming story OP. I love the people out there that really are like "Guardian Angels." :unsmith:
Happend to me in Denmark too, made my day
So he flashed his highbeams at you and you took that as a signal to slow down? You have better interpretation than me when it comes to these things, I would've sped up. Rated heart.
Generally, flashing highbeams is a signal for a speed trap. Fortunately, it's not illegal to warn people because cops aren't there to catch people, they are just there to get you to slow down. Or at least, that's what a Judge here in Canada ruled. Anyways: Take this as a lesson to watch your speed. Better to take a little longer and save yourself a hefty ticket. Also, slower speeds save gas (Not too slow, but slower speeds in general work the engine less saving you gas money. (Shaving 10kph off your highway speed will save $3 on a $30 tank of gas.)
