The Call of Duty community is so utterly retarded that I would prefer them to not contaminate the Airsoft community aswell.

you just described every sequel ever made
The issue i have with MW/MW2 is the fact it was made cause the 10 year olds didn't like the fact they could't hold down the trigger with WW2 Guns and kill someone. And MW2 was just for money not for the gaming community.

No, it's because people were getting tired of playing WWII shooters, as fun as the weapons may be.

Agreed. You can only play through D-Day so many times before it gets boring.
Though honestly, I wish they would have brought in selective fire like some other games. I'm more of a semi auto user.

You're one of the exceptions.
What I mostly hate is how people who play Modern Warfare 1/2 think they know so much about guns and combat. For example, one guy at a paintball game I was attending. He said he knew a lot about modern weaponry just because he played Modern Warfare 1. He also repeatedly called my gun an M14 just because it shot semi-automatic and had good range. It looks nothing like an M14, theres a huge bulbous hopper on top, it has a car stock, and there's no magazine.
Then there's the stupid fuck who lingers around where I hang out. Me and him got into an argument because he said, and I quote, "Modern Warfare is the most realistic game ever". I told him that he wouldn't be able to shoot shit standing up with any of those sniper rifles, and that the reload times were horribly inaccurate. I told him that the most realistic games were Project Reality and Arma II, though Arma's reload times are even worse. He still wouldn't admit he was wrong, told me the games I play were shitty, and ran off somewhere.
Lol.
I got in an agrument with my friend.
He still thinks clip=magazine.
i cringe when my best friend says clip but I dont have the heart to correct him

I charge my friend 10 cents every time he says it. He learned quick.
Good evening.
I'm thinking of buying a blowback pistol for recreational fun and enjoyment. Most likely I will never use it in an actual match of airsoft. Since most forum posts I've found are heavily based around actually playing with the damn things, I seek guidance here.
So which brand/model are you guys suggesting? The price can only go as far as 100 euros/dollars. This is the one I'm thinking of purchasing (Finnish site):
http://www.proairsoft.com/acatalog/info_KJG23MS__.html
Same with non-metal
http://www.proairsoft.com/acatalog/info_GGB_9905__.html
Bonus question: In what ways do metal slides affect the gun? I'm not sure if I want to spend and extra 30 euros on something I don't really notice. I do know that it probably increases recoil and makes it louder (which is cool I guess) but it doesn't really help the gun stay in good condition. I hear a metal slide can actually damage the gun.
Please correct and guide.
Are gas blow back guns good? From what I heard they use up a LOT of a gas. What advantages are there?

Metal slides won't break your gun inless some how the lower part of the gun is like plastic or something. Metal guns have harder recoil, louder, gives you that nice feeling when you cock it back. Generally if they are full metal they are higher quality internally also.
Glock's arn't metal though they are some high tech material which is still based under plastic.

Personally I don't like metal slides because they make the blowback seem slower and they get glossy but that's just me. I'm not familiar with Finnish sites and prices but personally I'd pick any semi-auto KSC, TM, or KWA pistol. I have bad luck with automatics.

Agree. Although plastic slides get glossy too, its a fact of GBB life.
And KSCs tend not to do as well with propane, just FYI. (Most) TMs and KWAs are rock solid, but some TMs have been known to leak after several years of propane usage.
I use green gas though, some of my TM mags leak but its because I left them out in the open unused for 14 months. only use 134a with KSC unless it specifically says you can use green gas.
Do gas mags(CO2/what ever kind of gas) leak ONLY when you leave a canister in there?
they leak because the oring is mistreated, usually by it becoming very dry and cracking or losing it's seal.
Oh. Are the O rings easy to replace or is it some specialty thing?
I've never done it
[editline]12:03AM[/editline]
i dont think its THAT big of a deal though

Coming from a grenadier with all-to-many bad oring expiriances:
Most gas gun o-rings are replaceable, from your local plumbing supply store. Although certian companies (KSC in particular) use oddly sized o-rings that are damn near irreplaceable. You will also not find those super-tiny fill valve o-rings, so keep them in good condition.
How about K&K? Are those easily replaceable? Also where would I be able to find it, incase I need to fix it.

Also, what do you guys think of this gun:
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_113&products_id=6136
So far it does not seem bad. 400 with .2g, which would be...maybe 380, 390 with .23g? I just didn't want to get an 4700 or a MK96 because everyone has those. The only thing is that I have never heard of the brand "Well"

It's pretty much the L96 in a different stock. Honestly I like the looks of it, definitely different. But internally I'm not really sure. Well has made some good R700's that people seem to like, but I don't recall them making an L96. Maybe it's some weird hybrid using an R700 bolt/trigger with L96 mags. Either way, it should be compatible with either TM VSR10 or Maruzen L96 parts, depending on which it is.
How much would internals matter? It's only spring. Or is there alot more to spring?
You have the hop-up, hop-up bucking, inner barrel, and trigger mech to worry about. JG Bar 10's come with nice tightbore barrels and a V cut hop-up bucking for better accuracy. I've shot both the BAR 10 and a few L96's side by side. BAR 10 has much better accuracy out of the box than the L96 clones do.
There's a lot of expensive aftermarket parts for bolt action rifles too, and it can get really expensive if you want it to.
Sorry for asking silly questions, but what does the term "aftermarket parts" refer to?
Other companies making replacement parts for the guns, more often than not they're better quality than the stock parts.
Oh I see. Thanks dude. I might be going off soon for the night so I'm done posting for now.
And yet, because of the time difference, I start.
